  1. I'm 2 weeks po bypass. I have anxiety. Theres nothing you can do to relieve any anxiety, just have to wait til its done. They give you medicine to keep your anxiety calm if you ask for it. Til then, theres nothing to stop your anxiety now. But, I will say it was a breeze and I didn't have much pain.. I was up walking in like 3 hours after surgery. Just keep walking, push yourself to walk.. the more you burp/fart the quicker the gas pain is gone.

  2. Thanks everyone. My surgeons pa told me before I left the hospital.. "be kind, be patient, don't take the anger out on everyone." I was like uhh what anger? That anger didn't come until day 5. :-/

Then she said "Think as if food was your boyfriend, you loved this boyfriend for a very long time and then out of no where he breaks up with you and even though you love him, you can't see him anymore."

    Thats fits.

  3. Spent four hours at a Christmas party with over 200 people and waitresses kept coming up to me asking if I wanted a drink, food, Cookies... (i'm still on just liquids)

I came home and just couldn't stop crying. I laid in the shower and cried a nasty snotty cry and listed off out loud all the food I wanted to eat so bad.

While doing this and texting my friend who is 10 months PO I realized why I was so upset, why i'm obese.

I haven't ever told anyone, but I want to tell someone.. so here I am.

I grew up poor, dirt poor. We went days without eating and when there was food - you had to eat it fast before someone else did.

When I met my husband and had kids - I became a food hoarder and I buy tons of food, crazy amounts of food. $300+ a week crazy food...

I still eat fast. I still eat A LOT because I have that whole "eat it before someone else does" thing goin' on in my head.

I promised myself and my kids that I would never go without food, my family wouldn't.

So not eating brought up some really painful painful wounds.

    I have a therapy appointment on the 20th.. I can't wait.

  4. He's former Army, so he knows all about weights and measurements - to keep fit for the army. I know he meant it as a compliment but I also know he's a boob man so I was sad. We had already talked before my surgery & I told him I planned to get implants already since having four kids and lost 57 pounds before surgery - they are quite saggy.

I had the nice sweet convo about only mentioning my belly, legs, arms and face LOL! It was so funny. :)

  5. Really wish my husband wouldn't have made the comment "I think your boobs are getting smaller."

It wasn't to be mean and he thought it would be a compliment so I didn't bark at him but I told him I didn't want my boobs to go so if he notices the boobs getting smaller then don't tell me. Don't tell me about my boobs and butt.. but tell me about my legs, arms, face and belly.

This made me think - we should start a list of things of our husbands/wives/partners to NOT mention

My sweet husband, he tried to recover "oh but I like them I like them a lot."

Pppffttt.. yeah, sure ya do! LOL!

  6. I've noticed mine are "deflating" i've lost 67 pounds - i'm only 4 days po but I lost 60 before surgery.

Its really bothered me about loosing my boobs because when I sit down, I feel like i'm sitting on bones.. i'm loosing my butt too. Uggh!!! So I started this machine at the gym that makes your butt lift but I cant remember the name.

I plan to get implants in a few years

  7. Super nervous, seven days until surgery.

I'm having the full bypass on the 6th.

I feel so overwhelmed with information, I have a huge folder with tons of print outs and notes i've taken from support groups, doctor and nurse visits... but I still feel so unprepared.

I still haven't figured out what Protein Drink i'll be drinking post op. GNC had one that was supposedly tasteless. I haven't tried it yet. I've tried a bunch of others but they are just gross. I'm afraid I will have this surgery and not have a Protein shake.

    Please, any advice or help?
