I am 5 weeks out and in exactly the same boat. It takes me over an hour to get a Protein shake in. I had to stop trying to eat my Protein goal since I wasn't able to get enough in, so now I'm back to shakes and a few bites of Snacks in between. I am also having really bad heartburn and have doubled my meds with only a little relief. Hope it does get better.Anyone ever have a day where you just don't feel like eating because it's so much work. For me to get enough Protein I'm eating two ounces every two hours or so. By the time I wait the hour after eating, then spend the next hour drinking before starting the cycle over again. It's a lot of work and that doesn't count meal prep time. I'm only 5 weeks post op so not hungry at all. Some days the effort to eat seems like so much work.

Yes it would. The stress of your surgery and other stress could elevate it.

Oh my gosh, I'm a Nurse and would not dream of going back at 1-2 weeks! I'm always moving patients and have to wear a lead vest and apron most of the day. I will be off for 6 weeks. Please take care of yourself first! As nurses we always take care of everyone else it's your time now.
