  1. What doctor (or qualified medical professional) makes his or her patient believe that he or she is going to have dramatic weight loss right off the bat and lose all his or her weight in a matter of weeks?  I sware, there is a poster that is shocked that he or she hasn't lost 30 pounds the first month almost every day.  It makes me wonder what some of these pre-op conversations are like, or if people just hear what they want to hear...

This is highly typical of some surgeons. They tell you one-size-fits all weight loss and then let their patients twist when they don't experience that. To top that off, you have the ones that sell their own vitamins. "What you didn't lose 50 pounds in two weeks? That's not right, here buy some of my specially formulated garbage and it will help".

  2. Had quite an interesting day yesterday. Besides my shoes rebelling and deciding to be too big, a lot of other things are now too big. I was aware that my underwear was getting a bit big for me, but just forgot to pick up new pairs. This finally bit me.

So yesterday, my underwear fell while i was at work. And not, slide down my butt slightly, but like full on dived for the floor falling. They wanted to be free and only my thunder thighs stopped their descent. Thankfully it was end of day and i was walking to my car at the time, so all I had to do was keep my thighs close to stop them from falling into view of the bottom of my dress until i got into my car. Which was interesting since it was not only storming ( so i was wrestling with an umbrella) but i was juggling a bunch of bulky bags too. And seeing as I park not only in full view of the building, but my boss's office as well, I couldn't reach and pull them up. -_-.

Haha, yeah that happened to me too. Thankfully I was wearing pants, but it was a good sign to throw out the old and get some new.

  3. Small victory is when you can feel your arm bone in your shoulder.

  4. 6/26 - I had a bad day. My bf and I broke up. He stated that he preferred me bigger and that had he known things would change that he would have never supported the decision. When I asked how things changed, he stated the following:

    1) You put on makeup more

    2) You get your nails done more

    3) You do your hair more

    4) You dress differently. You do not cover up as much

    5) Guys look at you more (Ding! Ding! Ding!)

    6) They hit on you more (Jackpot!!)

I was stunned as he continued on his rant. At that point he told me he needed space and that he felt he needed time to get used to the new situation.

Before this journey I would ate my feelings away. I would have cried, watch romantic movies, Jack and Rose would have been my idols, my heart would have not gone on and I would have gained 5 lbs in one day. However, I felt no desire to stuff my face. Actually I felt nothing. After thinking about what he said and talking to my mom, I decided to end the relationship. I do not want that toxic attitude in my positive environment. I made a hard choice, however I am sure I made the right choice.

6/27 - Still followed my Keto diet. I did have a sugar free Popsicle. Went to the gym. Noticed something disturbing, my boobies are starting to have loose skin :48_weary:. I knew it would happened but I was hoping it would not. I boobs do not fit in my bra's anymore. They are sliding under the wire like peek-a-boo. SMH.

  5. Well it's about bloody time. I'm down a couple of pounds...257 lbs from 260 lbs after almost a month.

By the way does anyone snack on nuts like almonds or peanuts or cashews or sunflower seeds...I know there fattening but aren't they healthy fat ?

.....and noooo, the chia seeds aren't from those pet toys! HAHA!

Actually that is exactly what they are. They used moistened seeds of chia (Salvia hispanica). Funny fact. Who would have thought you were feeding terra cotta figurines such healthy material.
