    FINALLY!

    Excellent news!

    Vitamin patches are no good

I had my doubts, but I'd like to see some studies on them.

    Very fearful of being nauseated

It certainly does not happen to everyone. I was nauseous for maybe 15 mins after I woke up from surgery. They gave me Zofran, but I never needed it.

    Anxiety and emotional eating-gastric sleeve

Same thing here. It is getting better, but is still there. Every now and then I have a stressful situation and immediately I think of food or sugary drinks.

    Dear scale,

    Well done!

WORST TIME TRYING TO GET THIS DONE

I hear you! Venting is encouraged, and sometime mandatory on here.

WORST TIME TRYING TO GET THIS DONE

Well, if it is insurance paying for this, then I can totally see why they are doing this. Some insurance carriers make you jump through tons of hoops to get approved. Very aggravating I agree.

    Stall at 3 weeks???

This is perfectly normal, you will encounter many stalls during your journey, but do not get discouraged. Of course I say that after I kicked my scale across the bathroom this morning. Seriously though, don't let the frustration get you down.

Just had to post this bit of humor!

That's like calling WLS the all you can eat buffet diet!

    Sick and Tired

No I was saying what Redmaxx should have responded to the bastard that asked him that question.

    Sick and Tired

Answer: Of course not, I was very careful with your wife.

    Pissy

Yeah it was moving onto things like yogurt/refried beans/cottage cheese. Was done with broth/sf jello/sf pops.

    Pissy

Haha, yeah, I hear you. I told my surgeon (yes told, did not ask) that I was ending my post-op clear liquid BS after 10 days. He actually agreed and said it was fine. I think it was along the lines of I either end the diet or I end you.

    Doubtful

I think almost universally everyone planning on WLS goes through the question of should I or shouldn't I. For me it came down to the ability to lose weight vs keep it off. I always could lose weight, but never could keep it off. I think having doubts is normal, and you should definitely do what you think is best.
  15. Wooooow, you have made an epic transformation!!!!!!

No Negative Comments! Did anyone cheat during Pre op

I only had one day of a pre-op liquid diet, which was the day before surgery. I'm losing weight just fine, but I do wish I had tried to lose some pre-op. I totally get the frustration with the liquid diet though, and I really wish I had a magic answer for you. I suspect if you cheated it would not destroy the entire diet or invalidate your surgery, but as we all know, once you make that first exception it is so hard to get back on the straight and narrow. Soooo, if you have cheated, just try to get back on it and don't look back is what I am trying to say. Best of luck with the coming surgery!!

    Bad breath

It is a side effect of ketosis. https://authoritynutrition.com/10-signs-and-symptoms-of-ketosis/

    Day aftrt

Awesome. Looking back, the first day was the worst for me and every day was easier after that. Here's to hoping everything continues on that course for you!!
  20. I had conversion from Lapband to sleeve exactly four months ago and it has been awesome! I lost very little weight with the band and put it all back on. I gave it five years, but it just did not work for me. I can't speak highly enough for the sleeve right now.

    Weight Gain

What do you mean by 'regular foods'? Going from liquids to solids?
  22. Navigating the Wilderness

    Food torture

This is very counterproductive behavior. Watch porn instead of food, unless food is your porn in which case seek psychiatric help! Seriously though, don't do this to yourself!

    Got sleeved today....need reassurance!

Ditto what the others said, we all go through it, and it does get better! Keep looking ahead.
  24. Navigating the Wilderness

    Post op depression

I have it sometimes. I think it generally has to do with the fact that so much of my time was spent on food before the surgery that I sometimes don't know what to do with myself post-op during the times I would have spent eating.
