It took me a few days to figure it out too. You can add some Protein Powder to your meals, peanutbutter is high in calories - but also has Protein. cheese is good for calories & ptotein.

Yep, I've had an itchy belly. I'm 4 weeks post-op. Dr. said normal. I put some baby oil on my skin if it gets too bad.

I am 4 weeks tomorrow and have slight pain behind my big incision. At 2 weeks post-op I was still in alot of pain, so I purchased an abdominal binder. It was the best thing I could have done. I wore it during the day for about 10 days. Don't need it anyway, and I feel like I have healed. Maybe try that.

I am 3 weeks out, and I had the indent behind my big incision too. It hurt, stung, felt like internal stitches were pulling. It is just now going away. I was told some surgeons place internal stitches behind the big incision to your abdominal wall. If you have the indent, you probably had that done. My experience has been if I try to do too much, that area hurts more. So take it easy and give yourself some time to heal. I also purchased an abdominal binder that helped so much! Good luck....

Me too - my upper left side behind and around my big incision keeps grabbing me with a sharp stitch pain when I gently twist or reach for anything. I'm 2 weeks out.

I have to crush for 6 months. I was trying to mix it with yogurt, pudding, and smoothies. It was horrible tasting and making me sick and nauseous. Someone told me not to mix with anything sweet, but mix with something acidic. So today I put it in some orange juice. What a lifesaver. Wasn't perfect, but oh so much better. Very tolerable.

Good luck tomorrow. I know the anxiousness, my surgery 3/28 - seems like it is taking forever to get here. I'm also in CA. Keep us posted on how you are doing....

Yes, it seems most people are 2 week pre-op diet. My surgeon is very strict (30 days).

Yes - really! It was awful..... I can't even imagine 30 days of this. Now I know why it was so hard to find - I would imagine its not a hot seller.

I have done great all day, and was looking forward to some chicken broth tonight.
The chicken broth on my list must be 140 mg or less of sodium per serving. I found some Campbell's on-line.
IT TASTES LIKE DIRTY FEET! And it smells even worse. I tried dumping some pepper in it - didn't help - ugh.....

I found the best way is to crush and add to either orange juice or apple juice. Mine tasted horrible in pudding & yogurt.
