  1. What are you eating. I am in a stall

I usually start my day with a Premier Protein shake or one egg with low fat cheese. For lunch I have either chicken or fish with a very small amount of veggies. dinner is usually close to the same... for Snacks I have low fat baby bell cheese or a slice or two of lean lunch meat. I also drink a lot of Water, diet Snapple, diet green tea.... it's pretty basic what I am eating and I haven't changed it up much, but so far it's working for me. What kind of things do you eat in a day?

  2. Thanks for the post! I am right behind you- my surgery was feb 22nd. Im at 3 weeks today. Good to know im on track with others regarding weight loss. So far im down 26 lbs.
Congratulations on your weight loss and good recovery!!

It's amazing isn't it? I keep thinking it's going to stop, but everyday there's a little more and a little more. So happy to finally be going the right direction.

  3. The last 4 weeks have flown bye for me! I had my sleeve on February 15th and things went very well. I had a few days of pain, and it took the whole week to feel confident with my liquid diet. At three weeks I was able to move onto soft food and so far I have tolerated everything I have ate. The best part is I have lost a total of 30 pounds in 4 weeks! I feel amazing, and am already thankful for this surgery. I hope to continue on my journey and become the healthiest version of myself. I'm thankful for everyone's posts and information who prepared me for this new life journey, it really is quite the ride. IMG_2176.JPG

  4. Thanks to all of you for the help, I appreciated all your advise! Well, I made it! Just over one week out and I'm feeling great! Yes, I had a few rough days but I was surprised how fast my body is adjusting. :) I am looking forward to soft food, let the count down begin! Haha

  5. I have surgery date of February 15th. I'm a busy mom of three girls, I work, and am doing prerequisites for the nursing program. I'm nervous about losing energy and motivation after surgery... so my question is how did everyone feel after surgery? How many days before you were running simple errands such as taking kids to school and dance? Thank you :)

  6. My gastric sleeve will be on February 15th!!! After the phone call I was so nervous and not excited at all. After a few days of letting it sink in I'm starting to get excited for this amazing journey ahead. I would love to make friends with other February sleevers! I have been very private about my surgery and could use the support.

  7. Thank you.... my main thing is I really don't want to tell the people I work with because I know there will be a lot of talking. I was going to request the time off and just take personal time off. I'm just worried what I'll say when people begin to notice. I want to just be a better version of me, not the girl who had barbaric surgery. Not sure if that makes sense...

  8. I just had my final appointment and am now waiting for my approval from my Cigna insurance... sounds like I will have surgery in January! I have been very quiet about the process and only my husband and sister know. I really don't want to advertise that I'm having surgery but also don't want to lie about it. I'm having trouble decoding if i want to tell people about it... what are you experiences, has anyone kept this a secret. What are your experiences telling people good and bad?

  9. I feel like your post is exactly what I needed to read today. I am about two months away from having surgery and am a "healthy and active" fat mom. I have my doubts that this is the best thing for me but your post really spoke to me, it reminds me so much of myself and I can't wait to be the better version on myself.

  10. The best gift from my surgery was working on my inner self. I am honestly happy and making up for lost time. So many other positives.

I can't wait until I can make up for lost time. I didn't realize how much my weight was holding me back until I put the focus on it and made the decision to have surgery. Now I can't wait for the new and improved version of me.
