Are you going through KBI? (I'm only wondering because McKinney is close to where I live) I was having the same issue, using the same Protein with almond milk and they told me to switch to Premier Protein with a Multivitamin. I feel 100 times better. No headache, stomachache, or nausea.

Oh ok I understand
I really didn't mind the taste! And I liked that I could add powdered Peanut Butter and stuff to it to change the flavor up. It just didn't agree with me.
I'm actually starting to like the bariatric shakes! I'm glad the other shakes are better for you.I was drinking 4 of the Bariessentials shakes mixed with almond milk and I was so sick. My stomach was upset and my head hurt so bad. I talked to the PA at my surgeon's office and she said to go back to Premier Protein shakes. They really are the best, and I feel 100% better after switching back. I was also told to make sure I DON'T get the low sodium broth because the sodium is needed to stave off the headaches.

I just had my appointment for my pre-op diet today. I felt like such an idiot because I was fighting back tears. I know this will be such a short amount of time in the big scheme of things, but I will be on liquids for 3 weeks. The shakes are $75 a week! I am going to go into bankruptcy paying for this surgery and the supplements. I'm hoping after the first couple days I feel more confident, but right now I am really having a hard time being kind to myself.

Me neither. I noticed that it said they were not adding new members on the FB Page.

Congrats to making a great decision! I too used KBI and Dr Kim did my surgery. The liquid diet is strict but there's a reason why. Just don't cheat. Follow the information you were given in our Bariatric "Bible" and you will reach your goals. I ate lots of Jello and stuck with 4-5 shakes a day along with the popcisles and broth. I think blending your shakes up with ice helps much more than just a shaker cup. This is only 1 time in your life that you have to do this, so think of it that way. It will be worth it all in the end I promise. Just never give up As far as dreams yes i have weird dreams all the time. Hang in there, take one day at a time. I wish you the best in your weight loss journey and I hope to see you in our private Facebook group!
I go in Thursday to get the Bariatric Bible. I am definitely going to take advantage of the support tools KBI offers including the Facebook Group. Do I have to wait until after surgery to join?

Hi all!
I have had my surgery scheduled since August, but waited until November 17th so I wouldn't have to take too much time off work. I'm a teacher and am having the sleeve done just before Thanksgiving break. I am starting my pre-op diet this week and have been starting to have dreams about surgery and after surgery. I know this is anxiety, but I'm afraid to fail. Luckily I have a good support group and a good therapist. Did any of y'all have weird dreams? Do you have any tips for the pre-op liquid diet? I'm having my surgery through Kim Bariatrics, and I think it's a pretty strict liquid diet. Thanks in advance for any info you can share!

I haven't had my surgery yet (11/17), but I had a dream last week that I forgot that I had surgery and 2 days later went to get some buffalo wings and after I ate them I realized what I had done, but it was too late. My stomach had already exploded... Anxiety much?

Mine is scheduled for the 17th as well! I start my pre-op diet next week and I've started having dreams about the surgery and pre-op diet. Anxiety is definitely setting in. I'll search for the Facebook group and ask to join it.
