    Returning to work

I went back to work after one week, but I have a desk job and didn't have any pain or nausea alter my surgery. With your bending and lifting, it may be difficult to do that, so would definitely suggest having a discussion with your surgeon. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G890A using the BariatricPal App
  2. I was sleeved on 12/12 Starting Weight: 227 Surgery Weight: 217 Current Weight: 195 So I have lost 32lbs between pre-op and 5 weeks post op. I am happy with my loss so far. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G890A using the BariatricPal App
  3. I have been using GENEPRO in my coffee in the mornings also. I do follow the mix with a fork using room temp Water then add to hot liquid route. I also warm my coffee with the Genepro in the microwave as i like it hotter than it comes out of the Keurig. I haven't had any clumping issues. recovery

I only took a week off. During all discussions with my surgeon, he told me I only needed a week off, and I was definitely feeling great and ready for work at the end of that week. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G890A using the BariatricPal App

    One Month Surgiversary....Onederland

Thanks everyone... I started with a HW of 227, after surgery I was at 217, then down to 207 at my first check up. So I lost most of the Water weight within a week and a half, then slowed down. I didn't have to do a post-op liquid phase, so it was great to be eating mushy/soft Proteins (eggs, white flaky fish, chicken, meatballs, ricotta bake, chilli, etc.) from day one and still seeing the scales move. I think I am in a stall right now, as I have been stuck between 198/199 for a few days now. I just wish my visits with Mary would let up!! She has visited twice since the surgery, so she is kind of getting on my nerves.
  9. One month surgiversary, and I am unofficially in onederland!! I have been eating great on the puree/soft stage, now I get to introduce some cooked veggies, and solid food. This should be interesting.

    Coffee Question?

I know each practice is different, but my doctor allows 12oz of coffee per day from day one. I add GENEPRO to my one cup a day to have it do double duty! Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G890A using the BariatricPal App

Oh wow mine is totally different but I like yours much better!!! I had 2 weeks of liquid diet...1 before and 1 after and then purée with no meat:( Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App yup...I am loving mine. we did have two weeks of liquid pre-op, but the ability to slowly incorporate food post op has been great. I haven't ventured to chicken yet, but scrambled eggs have sit well. During my one week follow up they mentioned trying chicken thighs highly moistened and shredded/pureed. So that will be my next meat. I am melting inches, but they note it will be 5 to 10 lbs of weight loss per month. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G890A using the BariatricPal App I tried eggs my first morning for soft foods and they didn't sit to well but will try again with a different version. Good for you though! Thanks the above helps me too. Tried Lamb Burgers with Mint Yogurt sauce yesterday and they were tasty and sat well on stomach...whew!How much did you weigh going in? Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App That sounds good, may have to give it a try...My HW was 227, and came home from surgery @217 after gaining from all the drip. At my one week was down to 207, so looking forward to my one month check up to see where I land. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G890A using the BariatricPal App
  19. I took off for one week, and felt fine going back to work. I have a desk job, and my surgeon always indicated that one week was all the time I would need. I didn't have much pain or any issues after surgery so it was fine. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G890A using the BariatricPal App

I am a week and a half post op, but my doctor starts you off on mix of pureed and soft foods that are straight Protein. We are allowed ground meat, white fish, meatballs, cheese, Beans, and the like. All items have to be grilled/baked and moistened with broth or Water. To be discharged from the hospital we had to keep down a few bites of pureed food. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G890A using the BariatricPal App

I do the ricotta cheese bake, soft white flaky fish (tilapia, flounder), crab cakes, and I have enjoyed the Target Italian meatballs. I heat them on the stove top in a half broth and marinara sauce mix so they are nice and moist. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G890A using the BariatricPal App
