Average calories after surgery?
For full liquids, I was about 450-500 a day. I am on regular food now (7 weeks out) I track everything and I'm usually between 650-800 a day. I worry most about Protein. Sent from my iPad using the BariatricPal App

Can't eat
You are only three weeks out. It does get better, it's practically a full time job getting in your Protein and Water in the beginning. I'd call your nutritionist, it's always a good idea if you are struggling. I am now 7 weeks out and it has improved a lot for me. Can you tolerate broth?

Anyone take chewable IRON that actually tastes good?
I use Celebrate, it's grape and not bad at all. Sent from my iPad using the BariatricPal App

Orange juice
Orange juice is on my plan but after 12 weeks. I'm trying not to drink any of my calories unless the Protein is worth it. Soda was my vice (slippery slope) so I stick to Water, decaf iced tea, and crystal light. Sent from my iPad using the BariatricPal App

Did anyone cheat on preop
No, I didn't cheat. The reason I didn't is because I'm a nurse and I've seen a lot of patients who had surgery and then later regained because they never worked on fixing their brain when their surgery happened. I'm six weeks post Monday and I still haven't cheated and now that it has been 2 months, I feel like I've got a decent handle on the beginning of changing my relationship with food. Mindful eating helped me a lot during my preop diet and dealing with head hunger. Sent from my iPad using the BariatricPal App

Does anyone else plan and celebrate mini goals?
Congrats!!! Also, looking into getting a FitBit... but was undecided. Like the reviews on the Alta. Which fitbit do u have & how do you like it? I have the Flex 2 because I'm a swimmer and it's waterproof and it will log my laps. Sent from my iPad using the BariatricPal App
