We did not have to weigh in at the support groups I go to. We were told that we don't have to speak up if we don't wish to do so. I don't like speaking in front of a group myself so I was relieved to listen. There are always plenty of people that will speak up and everyone is at different points in the program so it makes it nice to hear others viewpoints....best of everything! Hope that helps! I finally got an appointment set with the surgeon that I want.......what are some questions other than his infection rate and those type of questions?

Just wondered if anyone has had the experience that they had a gallstone prior to surgery? Since I am in my 6 month waiting period for surgery i have been found to have a large stone. I am wondering if most surgeons would do two separate surgeries or remove the gall bladder at the same time as Sleeve? Thank you for any input.

In my area we have several grocery stores in that have a salad bar amd always have turkey or chicken on them. I travel around a lot too and will puck some protein and veggies off of those bars.

I spoke with my doctor about this same topic tgis week. She told me to play switch a roo when people asked about my weight loss....when someone asked...I could respond my saying yes I have been watching what I eat and exercising and then very quickly comment or ask them a question about them. I must admit I will have to practice that!!

Hi...I am just a month into the process. My first appointment was weighing in and orientation.....that was with clothes on....shoes off. I have done the psychology evaluation and was weighed on that appointment. I have also had my first md appointment weighed again in the same fashion. I was told the reason for no caffine...at least two weeks before surgery is due to the fact that the caffine will not allow you to heal as quickly. Sent from my SCH-I535 using the BariatricPal App

Ok...first appt went well. We discussed what has brought me to this point. Lots of lab work was drawn so I am thankful I didnt eat before the appt.
