YES, my medical doctor made the suggestion. I ordered mine from Lauren's Hope. I have my surgery listed in addition to allergies and contact number.

Hello all, I am considering moving to that area. Can anyone share information as to if they have experience with any support groups there. Thank you!

For those who have yet to have surgery, keep in mind that you will not feel the same way about food after your surgery. For me after taking a drastic step to have the surgery...I really don't want to put something in my mouth and stomach that is going to undo all of the hard work of myself, the surgeon and the rest of the team of medical professionals that have helped me along the way.

I believe those would be a good choice...do you have access to a nutritionist thru your surgery center, they would be able to clear those shakes.< br>

I am not gonna lie. I am totally having a food funeral. I think it is important for me to do it , like closure. I have until Friday and then I am going to start the pre- op because my sleeve date is 9/12. I am not eating too crazy but I am eating whatever I want for B, L and D. I eat healthy B all the time and always have so I am continuing with that but I am more lenient on myself for L and I get whatever I want for dinner. I still need some surf and turf and Indian food. Gotta lay them down to rest !! I know I will technically be able to eat whatever I want in small portions in the future but I am not planning too. Once I start slipping it can be a bad road for me .
I did the exact same way that you are doing....I feel like it helped me. I am 2 weeks post op today. Those last few yummy meals I had before starting liquids helped me look ahead to the days when I won't be eating as much. Food funeral was great for me. To be honest I really have not had any cravings at this point. I have been researching healthy recipes for when I do start back eating. Best wishes to you!!

I agree RSM. This may be ones own path but the support of others is SO important to not bring those old habits to us...Asianbeauty, I hope that you have others in your circle of friends and family that are supportive and that you stay strong against old habits and wish you success!!

I don't know of anyone else was told they could do this but my surgeon said that I can mix you hurt as long as it does not have fruit chunks in it with skim milk this was pre and post op.

I bought the Bariatric Advantage French vanilla, it is kinda chalky but breaks down easy. The first few days I actually cut it into 4 pieces and took it at different times. I have heard that the chewy ones are better but my weight loss clinic was out when I went to purchase them.

My surgeon told me to hold off except for Protonix....about 4 days after surgery I was able to take my chewable Vitamin, then I was told to wait til follow up at 3 weeks to discuss the rest of the Vitamins. I admit I was a bit nervous to swallow the first time after surgery but my nurse stayed with me to make sure I was ok.

Pretty well except for the tenderness that remains on my right side.

My follow up isn't until the 23rd. [emoji53] Just hope I'm doing everything the right way.
Have you been hungry? I felt hungry a lot yesterday. Guess I'll call my nutritionist today.
I haven't felt hungry.....how many ounces are you getting in each day?

Thank you for posting this...we are right at the same, I had been wondering about the soreness. I have follow up with my surgeon on Friday.

One week post op. Officially on "full liquids". Struggling with getting in Protein. Liquid has been decent though.
My question is, is there any point in keeping track of carbs to keep in ketosis or just stick to fluids and protein?
I am almost a week out now, I am sure your tomorrow will be lots better...I wish you the best!!

How long does the whole procedure take? Everyone is saying something different. Some say two hours some say an hour some say right in the middle. How did you feel right after it????
It can vary due to your recovery in the post o.o area, it took me longer to get awake so my family was away from me for a total of 4 hours where it been stated it would have been 2 hours. When I arrived to my room I was still a bit out of it but knew what was going on. I got more awake about 3 hours after that and the nurse walked with me in the hallway...my surgery was afternoon. Hope that helps some.

I am 1 week post-op today. Gas pains are gone. I didn't need any blood thinners. Dealing with Constipation after 3 week liquid diet. Can't wait til I can have puréed foods next week. My first meal will probably be puréed peas mixed with puréed tuna or salmon. Good luck in surgery!
I am with you!! Just 2 days behind, but constipation...ugh!

Praying all goes well!
Please keep in mind your weight will be higher for a few days only due to the extra fluids they will give you in your IV. You may be a lot colder til your body adjust over the next few days as well. Best wishes to you!!

Wishing you all the best today! Keep in mind to walk as soon as someone ask you too...the first couple of times will be a bit rough but you will be glad you did. Also, remember that your weight will go up initially due to the I v solution they will be giving you, it may take several days for your body to flush that out.

I'm scheduled for surgery tomorrow. Check in is at 11:20. I was lucky and didn't have to start a liquid diet until today. So far it's G2G and chicken broth. Good vibes to all.
Congratulations on your surgery!! I had surgery this past week, so the best advice I can give you other than sip sip is walk anytime someone ask you about getting up and about.
