  8. I haven't but you're not obligated to tell them anything. If they gossip or can't keep secrets and you don't want the whole world knowing... Do you really think they absolutely have to know what they did. Word got around about me having my surgery and I never said anything to anyone about it. Be careful who you tell... Some people have a mouth that never stays closed. Hw-273 Sw-226 CW-164 GW-130 Size- 4 or 6, Small in sweats. Large in shirts... Could be a medium. depends on how it's cut or made. 10. I never really minded exercising, I'd go for walks before surgery if the weather was okay enough. I went to a gym once a week for a few months. It gave me energy and I'd always feel good about myself after I left. I wasn't limited on movement at all back then, I was just lazy. Still kinda am. I'm active 3 days out of the week. Hw-273 Sw-226 CW-165 GW-130 Size- 4 or 6, Small in sweats. Not sure of my shirt size yet. Surgery Date- April 26th, 2017 RNY "Only those who try will become" FFX
  11. I don't like any of those brand vitamins. I'm looking into vitamin patches or just finding a pill small enough for me to swallow whole. Hw-273 Sw-226 CW-165 GW-130 Size- 4 or 6, Small in sweats. Not sure of my shirt size yet. Surgery Date- April 26th, 2017 RNY "Only those who try will become" FFX
  12. I'm going on 5 months out. Mine is around 330-700 calories a day. Depends on what I have to eat and what I'm in the mood for. Hw-273 Sw-226 CW-165 GW-130 Size- 4 or 6, Small in sweats. Not sure of my shirt size yet. Surgery Date- April 26th, 2017 RNY "Only those who try will become" FFX
  13. I didn't have Staples, they used that surgical glue on me with the steri-strips on me. I don't have a good answer for you about scarring and staples, but my scars aren't bad. Just depends on how your body heals and if you scar easily. Hw-273 Sw-226 CW-166 GW-130 Size- 4 or 6, Small in sweats. Not sure of my shirt size yet. Surgery Date- April 26th, 2017 RNY "Only those who try will become" FFX
  14. You look good. ? Cool phone case. I'm going on 5 months post op and went from a size 22 to a size 4 or 6. Congratulations on the weight loss. Hw-273 Sw-226 CW-166 GW-130 Surgery Date- April 26th, 2017 RNY "Only those who try will become" FFX
  15. Mine took about a week and a half. The gas pains were there for a few days. I was standing up straight again after day four. Hw-273 Sw-226 CW-166 GW-130 Surgery Date- April 26th, 2017 RNY "Only those who try will become" FFX
  16. Just got cleared to do sports today. I was probably allowed to do it back in June but I wanted to wait til I felt like I was completely healed and capable of drinking enough water and eating enough protein. Hw-273 Sw-226 CW-168 GW-130 Surgery Date- April 26th, 2017 RNY "Only those who try will become" FFX
  17. I don't have the pain right over my spine but I do have lower and upper back pain. One I blame on my boobs for being too big for my body now and the other is because I have a mattress that is due for an appointment with the dumpster outside but I'm too poor to buy a new mattress at the moment. Sometimes the heating pad I have helps with the pain. Hw-273 Sw-226 CW-168 GW-130 Surgery Date- April 26th, 2017 RNY "Only those who try will become" FFX
  18. I understand the being fearful feeling. I actually cried on the operating table right before I passed out from the Anesthesia, because I was so scared I wasn't going to wake up. Two hours later, I woke up in recovery and was fine, aside from the pain I had. Haven't had any complications either. None that weren't able to be fixed by me. Dehydration, for example. You'll do fine. Especially since you're mostly healthy, aside from being diabetic. Hw-273 Sw-226 CW-168 GW-130 Surgery Date- April 26th, 2017 RNY "Only those who try will become" FFX
  19. The extension cord for my phone... And comfy loose clothes and a wireless bra. The chapstick. I did bring those things and a heating pad and blanket but the hospital wouldn't let me use it. They had an alternative to that but I didn't have enough strength to activate it. I never used the blanket I bought because I didn't feel like moving to get it, let alone walk around. The only thing I wish I had back then was unlimited data because their WiFi sucked. Sent from my SM-N950U using BariatricPal mobile app

  21. Pills work for some and not others. I get the B12 shot every 3 months. Seems to work fine for me. ---------------------------- HW- 273 Pre-op Wt- 230 SW- 226 CW- 170 GW- 130 Ht- 5'2.5" DOS- April 26th, 2017 "Only those who try will become." ~FFX
  22. They told me to fast the night before I got that done. They still remind me to do that when they need blood work. ---------------------------- HW- 273 Pre-op Wt- 230 SW- 226 CW- 170 GW- 130 Ht- 5'2.5" DOS- April 26th, 2017 "Only those who try will become." ~FFX
  23. My pain was around for less than a week. About six days. It might be gone again by tomorrow. Healing varies from person to person. I heal fast so it didn't take long for my pain to go away and finally stand up straight again. I heard somewhere that the incision pain usually lasts around two weeks. But again it varies from person to person and depends on the many factors out there. It's normal to have pain there but your doctor would know for sure. ---------------------------- HW- 273 Pre-op Wt- 230 SW- 226 CW- 172 GW- 130 Ht- 5'2.5" DOS- April 26th, 2017 "Only those who try will become." ~FFX
  24. I eat medium sized shrimp and scallops almost all the time. I just put the entire shrimp in my mouth, chew it well and then send it on it's way. I bite half of the scallop, chew it well then repeat. If I eat anything other than that, the bites are way smaller. I'd cut a tiny section off of it (Chicken, turkey or beef) then eat it. I always eat seafood at home and if I'm not home and if the place where I'm at don't have seafood I'll just eat those other meats. But not a lot. They're heavy on my pouch, hence why I only eat shrimp or Scallops. Those are the easiest to get down. I rarely eat fish. Don't like how it feels going down. ---------------------------- HW- 273 Pre-op Wt- 230 SW- 226 CW- 172 GW- 130 Ht- 5'2.5" DOS- April 26th, 2017 "Only those who try will become." ~FFX
  25. Basically what LifeChangesLori said. I'm four months post-op Gastric Bypass. I'm not a surgeon or anything but I'd say go for Bypass. I did it because I thought the benefits outweighed the benefits of the sleeve and I needed the extra help with portion control. I did it because I only wanted to go through one surgery and not have to risk coming back for a revision. Never had experience with the lapband. This was the first surgery. ---------------------------- HW- 273 Pre-op Wt- 230 SW- 226 CW- 172 GW- 130 Ht- 5'2.5" DOS- April 26th, 2017 "Only those who try will become." ~FFX
