Well, I went from being a 44F and now I'm a 36C. Once I get a reduction to where I'm supposed to be I'll probably be a B or an A. Which is fine with me. I never liked having big boobs. Lol My boobs are sad looking right now but mehh. I'm just happy I can walk in to a family dollar or Walmart and buy a bra. I'm 28. I have to pick up my boobs and put them inside the cups. How they tell you that you can't have gummy vitamins if you've had RNY when you actually can. All that talk about how it won't absorb well isn't exactly true unless said person isn't healing well or isn't even taking any vitamins. I was told by my surgeon's team that since I'm completely healthy, I can take gummies. So I'm taking them. The chewable vitamins are gross to me and I refuse to take them anyway. Lol I wish I would have known I could take the gummies way ahead of time. I would have bought boat loads of them. Some time last summer. I went to QDoba and had a shrimp salad. Didn't eat the entire thing but the dining out thing was successful. Didn't get myself sick. You can, but most people get Stevia or something like it. I get Stevia or the other thing that sounds like Stevia but actually tastes better. Especially with tea. Shrimp and zucchini noodles with pesto. And a chicken kale salad. Mainly because those are quick and easy to make and the one with kale is just sooo filling. Lol They're both my go to recipes. I make them more than anything else, although meatballs aren't such a bad idea either... Don't mind me I'm kinda just debating about lunch for tomorrow now lol. Maybe it's still too soon. Just a guess. Try again later or try having meat different ways. I know the meats you've listed are more dense. If you aren't allergic to shrimp, I've found that for me, that goes down easier than salmon or any other fish. Have you tried ground turkey or chicken? Maybe Scallops? Red meats are usually harder to digest and are more dense. I rarely eat them. Sometimes if you let them sit in a marinade for a half hour to an hour, that might make it go down a little easier. I took it for three months but then weaned myself off of it once I felt like I no longer needed it. I told my bariatric team that I did and they weren't really in favor of my decision. I'm still off the medication because I still feel like I don't need it. I've been off it since September and feel fine. I was on it from June-ish til then. Been off ever since. Definitely not the only one. I know I've had multiple food funerals before my surgery day came. It has happened to me and I was told that it was normal so I didn't worry too much about it. Everything firmed up once I was able to eat actual food. I'm less than a week away from being 9 months out and I get about 650 calories in each day. Sometimes I get about 200 extra calories in, just depends on where I am and if I'm "treating" myself. Otherwise, it's 650-700. Usually the lowest amount... But if you're 1.5 years out then you should probably getting in around the 1200 range. I had my surgery and was fine from then onward. I was just hormonal. I never left regretting any of it but the good news is that you will feel normal one of these days, I just can't tell you when. When varies for each person who has had the surgery. I felt like myself, I just didn't feel like the "me" that could eat as much as I wanted, when I wanted and I embraced that. They'll tell you to do multiple pills. They said the same thing to me and it's what I'm currently doing. I've lowered how many pills I take by getting the B12 shot. Some people eventually do the vitamin patches and don't even take any pills at all. It just depends on what your surgeon says is okay to take and what you will absorb. I just either take gummies or recently I've found a pill on my own by a brand that I can just swallow whole and it's tiny.... But it's an iron supplement not multivitamin. I can't do chewables, they make me gag. As for the advice for the multivitamin, how many months post op are you? If you are not just starting out, see if your PCP can prescribe you a multivitamin that you can just swallow whole. I did that and it's working out fine. I've eaten sushi and sashimi at 3 months post op without a problem. I was scared at first but I just told myself I would never know til I tried. Rice is like a slider food anyway for me but since there's a little protein in sushi, I could only eat like two of them things back then and be satisfied. I don't do regular sugar anymore. I just use sweeteners like Stevia or Splenda (If I'm not home and there are no other options).
