  1. I am about 8 weeks post op and just hit a milestone! I am now officially down 50 pounds! I struggled when I was able to go back to actual food, not to fall back into old habits, but after a 2 week stall, I am back on track and more determined than ever.

    Surgery tomorrow

It is completely normal to be nervous. I had my surgery on 10/5/16, and I was a complete bundle of nerves. But once you have surgery it's a whole new world. This is the first step of a brand new journey. Congratulations on your decision to become healthy.
  5. First day back at work.......feeling ok, hope this feeling will last through the day.

  8. I was sleeved 10/5 and other than some pain with one incision, things have been going great. I am down 12 pounds, and preparing to return to work Monday 10/17. Once I return to solid foods, what can i expect as far as weight loss per week? My starting weight was 337, day of surgery weight 314 and current weight 302. The future looks bright! Last day on this

Wow. I'm sorry that you've had that experience. As a newbie myself I understand your questions and curiosity. I was happy to find a safe place to discuss with and question others who have been through the same experiences. So to the experienced members of this group, please take a minute to remember how scared, confused, and full of questions you may have felt directly after surgery. And maybe offer advice with kindness instead of sarcasm. One day we will be the experienced ones, but right now what we need most of all is kindness and support. Wishing everyone success wherever you are in your journey. ???? Sent from my SM-G935P using the BariatricPal App

    Just curious

My surgery was Oct 5th and i lost 12 pounds the first week and then stopped completely this week. I guess it's normal to have stalling periods, but I think constipation is the problem. Best of luck to you on your journey. Sent from my SM-G935P using the BariatricPal App

Great. Down 12 pounds in the first week and then stopped completely but I think if I could go, it might help. LOL Planning on returning to work Monday. Sent from my SM-G935P using the BariatricPal App

I had my surgery October 5th. It's nice to have people whk can relate. One question: anyone else having problems with constipation? I haven't gone since surgery?? Sent from my SM-G935P using the BariatricPal App
  14. My surgery was yesterday morning, and i am so excted for my future! Overall recovery hasn't been terrible. One of my incisions is very sore. The other incisions dont bother me at all. Thank you all for allowing me to share my story with other people going through the same thing as I am. Sent from my SM-G935P using the BariatricPal App

A new day for you....a new beginning....how exciting....natural to be nervous...but you'll likely look back on this day as life changing! Looking forward to hear about your surgery and the journey you are continuing.

There's nothing wrong with feeling nervous. You'll be fine. Once you get to the hospital you may not even have time for nerves. You'll be busy answering questions, having vitals taken, prepped for the surgery itself, etc.
