So we removed the pain ball and that went really smoothly the tape being so stuck to the skin was the hardest part. However once the tape was gone the binder that has been keeping me all nice and tight keeps sliding up and down so i put a tank top on then the binder seems to help but my skin is really irritated. So here is tmi if you want to stop reading. I urinate daily and have bm's every other day they are loose and gassy. Today though i had a normal bm. That made me happy lol. It's funny how life works. I can't remember if i already mentioned the spotting but that is still happening the nurses in hospital said it is very common with female patients. Now working on creative ways to make it to 80 grams of Protein and getting in my eight cups. I got close yesterday but still working on it with out hurting my self. Anyways that is my update for those that are interested. Oh and pain is quite a bit better i am now able to shift in bed and give my back a break. Sent from my SM-G920P using the BariatricPal App

    Binders

Thanks rachel412 ill try that. My surgeon requires me to wear a binder like Rachel said a girdle. I think i keeps your jelly rolls from moving all over the place and opening up your cuts. In my case i have a three inch incision and two dots on each end. But where it moves up and down it is causing irritation on my skin. Sent from my SM-G920P using the BariatricPal App

    Leak test?

My 4 brownies i had i think the same one you did, man was that stuff horrible. How i managed not to throw up is beyond me. It was funny because there was a tech in training poor girl she just wanted to make sure she did what the head tech asked. The head tech was being funny and asked me if i wanted to take some home in a cup, that it would be fine, i said oh sure pack it up. Well the girl started to pack up the nasty liquid and he stopped and said we were not being serious see this stuff does not taste very good at all. Here have some he gives her some and asks her to taste it and says now you will know how bad it is when your patients are throwing it back out. Poor thing turned green. Anyways that was my experience with the leak test lol. Sent from my SM-G920P using the BariatricPal App

So for anyone that is intrested i had a ds done on the 5th. I got up and walked around i was feeling the gas pains pretty good so i walked and walked. The second day felt better and i was really walking around alot and at a quick pace. Dr came by said i was good to go home sent me home with a pain management ball. The ride home was two hours we made several stops but by the time i got home i was full of gas again i was hurting bad. I walked and walked and nothing so i finally decided to take a gas x something my doctor was against. I said screw it and took it. All while trying to put on a brave face so the i told you so's would not start flying out. Finally the gas went down some and i was able to lay down. The next day was a lot better took more gas x and tooted then pooped and it felt wonderful. Now i go every two or three hours which according to nurse at hospital is normal. Thursday so far so good will be removing the pain ball today ill let yall know how that goes if yall are interested. Sent from my SM-G920P using the BariatricPal App

  13. So i went and pre registered for surgery on monday found out that i had met most of my out of pocket. Had to pay about 900.00 which is why i was pushing for surgery this year next year i probably could not afford it. Did blood and x ray and did a final weigh in before surgery. I was only required two days of a preop diet before surgery however i took all the info given to me in our meetings and put my self on a high Protein low carb diet happy to say i lost 11 pounds on my own Now i know that is not much but let me tell you for someone who started at 391 that means the world to me. It gives me the i can do this feeling. The one major issue i am facing is the exercise which i can do mostly outside of a gym however doc wants me to do resistance exercises to keep muscle mass. Anyone one know of a way i could do that without going into a gym like equipment that i could buy was thinking about the total gym. I dont know, any ideas? Night shift

Anyone out there have the ds or wls that works the night shift? Is there any differences for you versus someone that works during the day. I have not had it yet but i have noticed that im usually low on Vitamin d and now they tell me copper too. Just curious with different eating times and sleeping times how that may affect things lol. Of course im probably overthinking things again. Lol Sent from my SM-G920P using the BariatricPal App
  17. It is getting closer to my surgery date dec. 5th and it seems like all the threads seem to be about regretting surgery or or people having so much trouble with the surgery. I know its just my nerves but before i had a date seemed like everyone was posting before and after pics or they were having comical discussions about bananas (i have no idea) but it seemed fun. They were posting positive stuff like what they are now doing with there lives. I know i need to hear about the good and the bad this surgery is not to be taking lightly i realize its probably nerves not from not surviving but surviving and being left mangled or things just going way wrong. Anyways i am not helping either this is a super negative post so can someone help turn it around and help me out with some positivity. Sent from my SM-G920P using the BariatricPal App
