  1. My surgeon told me I had to remove one for the monitoring they place on your finger at surgery..I just removed them all and replaced them after surgery.. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  2. I think you need a good nights sleep and wake up to the realization that every choice we make is our own..good or bad, I think you are feeling very overwhelmed so you're feeling very sorry for yourself too, but this isn't the answer. Drinking and eating yourself into a Coma isn't either. It sounds like you are just mentally exhausted..and lord who wouldn't be reading how busy you are..how about instead of spending $25 on junk at the gas station, next time call and schedule a massage..do something good for your body..take a yoga class, do something to just stop the mental bashing and just stop and breath...only you can change your old bad habits into healthy ones. We're all in this together..we got this! You got this! Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  3. My team said 60-90g protein average, BUT half your body weight in protein is better..if you're 260 lbs..that would be 130g of protein. I'd say up your intake and see if it helps. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  4. I do..I am on a 30 net carbs a day Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  5. You look fabulous..may I ask if you had to have plastics done for loose skin? Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  6. Good luck!! Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  7. ((HUGS)) we are all in this together and we are all human. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  8. You plan is different than mine..I am almost 4 weeks post op..I was on soft foods like scrambled eggs, refried Beans and cottage cheese within 3 days after my surgery..I am still on a very low carb plan 30 net carbs a day till month two..I can only have Protein and condiment type vegetables..1-3 oz and supplement protein on shakes, drinks, etc .at month 2-6 I can add in soft vegetables..after month 6 I may add grains back but they say it's an option. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  9. Are you drinking protein supplements between meals? Also..I'm almost 4 weeks out and I have the same issue..lots of burping. I am trying to eat a lot slower to see if it helps.. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  10. I have been a Coke Zero addict on and off for years..I'd go months with none then I'd drink one and be right back on the Coke Zero wagon. I knew going into the surgery no carbonation for at least a year. It's a rule to protect our stomachs and it's also shown that diet colas make you crave carbs more AND gain weight. It's been hard but I don't want to hurt myself for a silly beverage. You are only two weeks out of surgery and already trying one..I hope you stop now and find something else to drink. There are lots of good options. It's your body and life..take control and knock the habit now before you do real damage. Good luck Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  11. Depends on your team..mine was meeting with my surgeon to answer any last minute question, pre register with the hospital, so I just had a card to give them on surgery day and checking weight, % fat, etc Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  12. It hurt me for 2 weeks after surgery..it's where they cut through muscle and take your stomach out I've been told so it hurts for a while. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  13. There is a 6-8 week window of misery for some sleeve patients with nausea.. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  14. I am the same..I've done low carb plans on and off for years, but I need the accountability of tracking what I eat..every single bit is measured and weighed..you may be getting more carbs than you think..and even less Protein than you think. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  15. Looking at the menu ahead of time is key for me too..i would never do a buffet..think I'd overeat and it would be a waste of money for me since I'm eating about 3 oz of food lol..to go box..that's the way I go Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  16. Congrats to you!!! Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  17. Just shakes or everything? Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  18. I'm almost 4 weeks out from my sleeve and I didn't lose anything last week..the 3 week stall I hear about is real..haha I just kept to my diet plan, walked my butt off and the last 3 days I have lost 6 lbs..just like that..crazy but true..so my best advice is if you are doing everything right..then keep on keeping on, but if you are sneaking bites of things you know aren't right or not walking like you should be..readjust what you are doing and get back on track. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  19. Well, I think the key here is you said you are eating 'mostly' low carb...'most' days. I find for me, the more carbs I have..the more I want...really want. I am allowed 30 net carbs a day, but if I still to 20, I find I don't want bread and Pasta and sweets. I even went to a Christmas celebration yesterday and passed up a whole table of sweets. How many net carbs are you eating in a day? And as far as chick filA craving..get a 4 count chicken nugget to satisfy your craving..it would be 4 net carbs and around 135 calories. The beginning of this journey can be so hard, but we are all in this thing together. We got this!! ((HUGS)) Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  20. I read a lot of books about WLS before I got my sleeve. A common thread I read from WLS patients was a brief period of buyers remorse. Knowing this, luckily I didn't experience it, but I think this may be what you are experiencing. If so, they all said it will pass and once the scale starts dropping you will be glad you did it..((hugs)) feel better! Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  21. Are you adding Fiber to your Protein drinks? That may help. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  22. I am also 3 weeks post op but my diet is soft Proteins and condiment type vegetables. Here's what I had today Breakfast: 1 scrambled egg, 1 bacon and salsa 1 scoop powders?utm_source=BariatricPal&utm_medium=Affiliate&utm_campaign=CommentLink" target="_ad" data-id="1" >unjury chicken soup lunch 2 oz low carb hamburger stroganoff 1 scoop nectar Fuzzy Navel 1 packet Proti Diet fruit punch dinner 3 oz turkey and gravy 1 package Proti diet vegetable beef soup Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  23. I'm 3 weeks post op myself and I also can't stomach the Protein shakes. I also hate milk. Lol Think it's the thickness mostly for me. I love unjury chicken soup. I use it almost on a daily basis. I also like the Proti diet soups and nectar Fuzzy Navel protein supplement. It is great with Crystal Light. I drink it daily too. I used the unflavored in soups mostly. Be careful and not warm things up too much with added protein. It goes into a curd consistency if it's too hot. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
