Well if your diet is like mine right now I'm not getting Fiber from vegetables and fruit because I'm only eating Protein. I slowly increased my fiber supplements to 25g and doing better now but I had to use everything under the sun to help me for weeks. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

  4. Nope..not me..I was a complete Coke Zero addict and feel like it hindered weight loss for me in the past. I will not be addicted again especially since I'm only 6 weeks out..a couple of sips isn't worth possible hurting myself and craving it all over again. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

    Newbie questions

It sounds like me that your surgeon did suggest the bypass because of your reflux but the final decision is yours. Mine suggested the bypass due to me diabetes and asked why I wanted the sleeve as well. I went with my gut instincts and when they asked what I wanted submitted to insurance I got the sleeve anyway. It's your body and your choice ultimately. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

    Nausea?

My surgical team calls it the window of misery. 6-8 weeks for most sleeve patients. She said drink warm liquids..it helps break up the mucus in the stomach that causes the nausea. I take a daily musinex anyway and I suffer with motion sickness already, so I worried it would be awful for me after surgery. Other than the rare occasion I have been lucky and not gotten nauseous..hope you feel better soon. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

    Quitting smoking

My surgeon required 3 months no nicotine prior to surgery. I smoke a 0 nicotine e cig..don't miss the nicotine at all. I did a slow progression down to nothing. The reason they don't want you smoking is because it can cause life threatening ulcers in the stomach after surgery. If you're truly serious about the surgery..put them away. When did you start loving your sleeve?

Awww..I'm sorry you are having a hard time. Why do you feel regret? Did the procedure not go as you had hoped? The diet? The side effects? Your calories seem very low to me. I'm 6 weeks out and lactose intolerant as well, but with my protein supplement Soups, drinks, etc. I still get between 800-900 calories a day. I researched too..for over a year..read every book I could get my hands on..I watched every utube video of good and bad experiences and I've never had a moment of regret. I feel like it's actually easier than I thought it would be. I still go out and socialize..just now I have a take home box to eat for another meal. I've had some moments of adjustment..but I've just realized I needed to take time to get use to my new stomach..but regret? I'm happy to say I have none..hope things start looking up for you. Stomach stretching

This is called grazing. My NUT told me..no more than 20 minutes to finish your meal. Anything longer than that is considered grazing and a no-no. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

  16. It's been so long it's hard to recognize hunger pains..but I do appear to be getting them. I thought we wouldn't feel hunger for a while. I am also not able to eat my normal 3 oz..my stomach feels uneasy and getting a dull aching pain when I eat. I'm 5 weeks out and this is new for me..never had any problems or intolerances except with the Protein shakes..anyone else experience this? I'm thinking of going back to liquid diet if it continues. I don't enjoy eating right now anyway because it's started to feel uncomfortable. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

    Gum chewing?
