    Rumor or fact?

It is called Dumping Syndrome. I believe it is food related. You may want to research. Sorry, I don't remember the details and I would hate to tell you something incorrectly. Had lapband surgery 10/12/16

    Still hanging in there.

Margie do you track your food? I'm wondering how many ounces or calories to eat past lapband surgery. My band currently has 3 cc in it. Had lapband surgery 10/12/16

    Hot chocolate protein shake

I've heard, but haven't tried that you can take chocolate Protein powder and mix with a little Water to create a paste and gradually thin with hot water until you have a hot chocolate type drink. The key is to premix the protein powder so it doesn't clump in the hot water. Had lapband surgery 10/12/16

    I officially hate vitamins!

Bariatric fusion has multi Vitamin stick packs that remind me of Crystal Light. You dissolve in Water. Had lapband surgery 10/12/16

    Protein Water

I drink BiPro Water in addition to protein shakes. I find BiPro Water a little too sweet so I dilute it with ice tea or water. 1 bottle is 90 calories and 20 grams protein. A nice option if you need to get your protein and water in. Had lapband surgery 10/12/16

    Protein Water

It is expensive, but I figure if it helps save hair and get my Protein in without a huge amount of extra calories it is worth it. I dilute it with ice tea or Water so a full bottle goes into 64 ounces of other liquid. Plus I'm saving one compared to the $20 or more dollars I spent on food daily pre-surgery. Had lapband surgery 10/12/16 You order it online. Had lapband surgery 10/12/16

    Dreams

I dreamed of pizza during the pre-op liquid 10 days and for two weeks after. Now I'm looking for pizza flavored recipes without the crust and carbs. Had lapband surgery 10/12/16

    Dizziness

I went to bariatric support group tonight and the dietician mentioned it can take 90 days to adjust once you rule out low blood sugar and dehydration. Had lapband surgery 10/12/16

Hello New to the group question

Bariatric surgery in all forms is only a tool, not unlike Weight Watchers meeting, or pill that make you poo out the fat. We all have to change out eating and exercise habits to make get the most from the tool. Had lapband surgery 10/12/16 Best wishes!! Had lapband surgery 10/12/16

    6 wk checkup

Heat soup, sauce, etc. (if using in food you will eat hot) to 140 degrees Fahrenheit and then let it cool a couple of degrees before stirring in the Protein powder to avoid clumps and gritty taste. Had lapband surgery 10/12/16

    Drive home

My doctor instructed us to stop every 30 minutes and to get out and stretch and walk for a few minutes. Had lapband surgery 10/12/16

    Shaking and freezing

It reads like your blood sugar dropped which can be an issue after bariatric surgery. Drink a half glass of orange juice. Talk with your doctor what to do in these situations. Had lapband surgery 10/12/16
  23. All liquids count toward the 64 oz. including Water or milk in Soup and Protein shakes per my dietician. Some people in my support group thought it was in addition to. Had lapband surgery 10/12/16

    Vacation after surgery?

Suggest you ask your surgeon about your internal stitches and healing before you go. I heard of a person who switched to solids too quickly due to being on vacation. She developed a leak and infection. You want to carefully follow your food plan. Had lapband surgery 10/12/16

Yes, I actually dream of pizza. My head hunger comes and goes. When it hits I change what I'm doing like Frankiesgirl suggests above. Had lapband surgery 10/12/16
