@@jenjenp I feel bad when I even sip Water. I am at the end of day 7... hearing so many people say they feel so terrible at 8.5 weeks worries me. How long before you don't feel that way? Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

    Eggs post op?

Yes! So for the last 7 days I thought I was hungry. BUT most of the feedback I received from this community is that often times the feeling of gas can be confused as hunger. And so when you are eating or drinking u may not feel any diff than when you are not. I def am going thru that. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  5. I'm almost done with Day 7. I've had the toughest time keeping any liquid Protein down. I was able to stomach about 1 oz of yogurt today eaten over 25 mins. Has anyone introduced eggs this early and been successful? Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

    Eggs post op?

@@rickm so I've been able to keep other fluids down like Water and sugar free juices and sugar free popsicles. I make my Protein shakes with unsweetened almond milk. They go ok when I blend them with a ton of ice. But it says that 2 scoops has 22g of protein.. which needs to be mixed with 8-10oz of either almond milk, water, or skim milk. I just had two baby forks of mashed pinto Beans and am doing ok. So I may try the eggs tomm morning and see how it goes. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

And you had gastric Sleeve surgery? I most def haven't been able to keep the liquid drinks like Isopure down those almost instantly come back up ... I will try reducing the Protein Powder thanks so much! Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

    Fried chicken

Right before surgery i was obsessed with sricha ranch. I wonder if I can come up with a healthy version using greek yogurt when my time comes. HW 385 SW 359 Sleeved 10/5/16 Google Avacado sauce substitute for Ranch. It's basically Greek yogurt and avocados and lemon, garlic and spices. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

  10. Hello i got sleeved on9/13 i had a leak so they went back in on 9/15. That being said i feel the same way you do about feeling hunger pains and not really being hungry. I also feel the gas. I take gasx for the gas that helps alot. Also i drank alot of very warm broth and herbal chamomile tea. Sent from my SM-N930P using the BariatricPal App So I ended up in the ER last night with a fever and dehydration despite the fact that I had gotten in my 64oz the ER doc seemed to think I was still dehydrated from surgery but I'm on day 6... I'm still always nauseous and I think I may have a UTI according the to the ER doc but he didn't think it was bad enough to need antibiotics. They did a CT to make sure there weren't any leaks. They gave me 2 liters of IV Fluids and discharged me. But today I am having pain in my lower pelvic area as if I do have a UTI. Prior to surgery I was on Zoloft for postpartum depression... I haven't gotten back on it yet because I'm afraid of the pill. But tomm will be a week so I will try. I'm scared and sad and having a really hard time. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  11. Im having a sharp pain in my right side too. I feel like it's coming from my largest incision, which may be where they pulled my stomach from. Which i hear is the worst one to get over and the longest to heal. I figure it'll get worse before it gets better but im keeping an eye on it. Getting Fluid in is pretty hard. Expecially because when i think i can take more or im going slow enough i start burping and get horrible pain in my chest and have to burp but can't. That's frustrating as hell. Definitely keep your doctor in the loop. Im bad with that at times but I'd rather be paranoid than end up with a serious complication. Be careful dear. And feel better. Hopefully it'll get easier. For both of us Sent from my SM-G925T using the BariatricPal App That's 1000% exactly what I'm going through... the burp hurts the worst when it's just stuck. And I feel like it happens so often! Thank u so much! Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  12. So just as an update! I'm now done with day 5 post op. Still having issues with hydration so continuing to try and try. If not then will most likely have to go to ER to get IV tomm. The pain oddly feels like it's actually getting worse in my right side. It's almost a sharp pain. Any idea when that should start to improve? Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  13. I just had some broth with a splash of Protein powder and it was easier to stomach than the Isopure for sure and actually tasted good as well. I love all of you for your support. Day 3 is officially over. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  14. I did but it's basically a list of items... they never mentioned adding Protein Powder to broth or anything else. The other issue is prior to the surgery I had only been eating non processed and mostly organic foods. So all this diet artificial sweetener and fake chemical laden stuff isn't sitting well with me at all. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

  17. My husband who is a chef says there is no Protein in it. But I've put my foot down and am getting broth tomorrow because I'm force feeding myself isopure and Water and the pain of throwing up is much worse than I imagined. My guide from the doc allows for it starting tomorrow. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App Just get some unflavored protein powder and mix into the broth. I've been alternating that with the Isopure No-Carb Vanilla so that I have a sweet and savory contrast. Awesome idea! Omg thank u! Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

  23. I had my sleeve done yesterday morning at 9am... at the surgical center I just had ice chips and sips of Water. They were understaffed so they discharged me last night at 8pm. Started having Isopure last night after getting home...and my nausea went into overdrive. I am taking the anti nausea dissolvable pills and oxycodine in liquid for for pain. This morning when I tried to sip the isopure to get some Protein in I instantly knew I was going to throw up. I went and stood at the sink was to scared to strain my abdomen and held it back. Then just now the same thing happened only I couldn't hold it back and threw up what little was in me and the pain of throwing up was soooo terrible. I don't think I can drink the isopure... what should I do? Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  24. Honestly I think most of these surgeons recommend those things because the also sell them. I am having organic chicken broth and Water and I bought the orgain vanilla Protein powder from costco and make it with unsweetened almond milk. Tastes great and is all plant derived. What to eat

@@gustavio someone posted a while ago about how ziploc sells 4oz containers that have a 2oz line marked on them to measure. And they would fill it up 2oz veggies and 2 oz meat... and have a variety of those filled up for the week so u don't get sick of eating the same thing. You got this! Avoid the frozen food aisle if possible. You invested a ton in this already so invest just a wee bit more time and make your meals for the week :-) Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
