  1. I removed my gall bladder over 15 years ago. I will go get seen by a dr, I have never heard of pancreatitis. Thanks!

I had that same feeling......only when i took really deep breaths tho. My dr said that was my lungs hurting because of the tube down my throat during surgery. I was given a device that i had to put in my mouth and take 10 really deep breaths every hr with. (Hard to explain) But, they said to make sure i did it every hour cause it also helps fight off pnemonia in the lungs. Definately call the dr tho. Everyone is different.....better to be sure:-) Hope its better for you soon!!

  2. hi everyone--

just got sleeved on 9/28 so i am just 4 days post op. i keep reading how hard it is for people to keep liquids down and i'm worried because that hasn't happened to me -- i only threw up once on day 2 and it has been smooth sailing since. in fact i just sipped a whole can of Tomato Soup in 10 minutes with no nausea or pain and i'm worried: what if my pouch isn't small enough???

has anyone else had a fairly easy recovery? trust me i am not complaining! i am just anxious because of all the posts talking about how bad it is, i prepared myself for much worse.

    thanks in advance!

If it helps any, i am only 2 weeks out and i am not having alot of trouble. I havent thrown up and i have no problem keeping liquids down. My only issues thus far are them vitamins!! They upset my stomach bad. And, at my 2 week i was told i was not eating ehlnough, my body was in starvation mode cause i couldnt get much down at a time. Now, i am to eat 6 small meals and have 2 Snacks if needed to get my 70 to 90 grams of Protein a day! Plus, all that Water :-) I get the water....still working on my meaals and Vitamins tho. :-) Also, just remember, everyone is different so your intake and others won't be the same:-) You've got this!! ♡

  3. I have been overweight all my life and struggled with the yo-yo diets. Finally, i decided to look into weightloss surgery. I have a few friends/acquaintances that have had great success. So, got in touch with a place that helps get all the appointments set up and got that ball rolling (feb 2016). Finally, Sept 14th i had my sleeve and a hiatal hernia repair done! Met all the Surgeons requirements and went home same night. I was off work one week and one day:-) As of now, I'm 34 lbs down :) Still trying to get my Vitamins to stay down but everything else has been pretty smooth:-) Clear liquids for a week, full liquids for a week. Now mashable foods for 2 weeks, then soft foods (and meats) for 2 weeks then I should be able to the full menu on the diet list:-) I am sooo happy i made this decision! It isn't always easy but i am making my way!!

Hi. Congratulations on your decision. I'm 16 months post op. You should try PatchMD for your Vitamins. I haven't drank a pill since surgery just taking a daily patch that now I use every other day since my body was absorbing everything lol.
Patchmd. I will for sure look into that!! I have got to get them vitamins!! Thank you!!
