  1. I think that's great! I'm almost 4 months or and am on week two of couch to 5k. I also have a personal trainer come 3x a week, 30 min twice and an hour on Saturday. I usually walk in addition to the c25k 5 times a week. My surgeon said as long as we're feeling good, we can do what we want.I think I am just so lost on everything. I know there is no way I can afford the whole personal trainer thing Sent from my SM-G935P using the BariatricPal App I've been very blessed, my trainer charges for her time, not per person, so a friend and I split her already reasonable rate. So I only spend about $80/month for her. (She trains my daughter as well)

  4. 6 times lol. I'm still over here like what if my scale is broken I'm gonna go to do one of my follow up visits and it'll be like SURPRISEE! Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App Don't even worry about that! You're a permanent resident from this point forward! I have faith in you!
  5. Great job! How many times did it take getting off and back on before you believed it?! I'm doing a happy dance for you! I'm 7.1 lbs away from onederland myself and can't wait!
  6. It's hard for those of us that have always been large to understand when a naturally skinny friend is freaking out over what seems to still be a very small number on the scale. I would urge you to look at her through compassionate eyes. While still small to many of us, she's larger than she wishes to be. She has every right to feel sad and scared about that, and she's reaching out to you to confide those feelings. Sometimes naturally smaller people simply don't understand how it can be received by us naturally larger people. I'm sure the opposite is true as well. Also keep in mind that just as our spouses can be scared by the changes were making, so can our best friends. Sounds like a good time for a girls night out with a heart to heart.
  7. So excited for you! Sounds like you're as prepared as possible. Wishing you luck for a textbook surgery and recovery!

  10. I kept my surgery a secret as well. I'm three months out and they're are less than a handful of people that know. Unfortunately three of those are people my husband told. So you might make it crystal clear that you don't want him sharing with his family. .. Sent from my SM-N900T using the BariatricPal App
  11. Congrats, I had Gastricbypass. How has your process been going? Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G930AZ using the BariatricPal App I'm doing great! I've had a few bad days, but have lost nearly 60lbs so far! Sent from my SM-N900T using the BariatricPal App
  12. Howdy! I'm also in Texas! I was sleeved Sept 26th 2016. I have my 3 month check up Wednesday. Sent from my SM-N900T using the BariatricPal App
  13. AMAZING! So proud of you! Sent from my SM-N900T using the BariatricPal App
  14. I chose sleeve for the same reasons. A few doc friends refer to the bypass as the gift that keeps giving, add in years Duan the road complications can still develop and need surgical correction. Sent from my SM-N900T using the BariatricPal App
  15. You're doing GREAT! Congrats and happy belated birthday! Sent from my SM-N900T using the BariatricPal App

  17. The words I'm stuck on is that he's'naturally smaller'. That being said, I don't think he has the slightest inkling how his behavior is affecting you. This is one of those areas where if you haven't walked it, you simply don't get it. Sounds like it's time for some heart to heart conversations. Sent from my SM-N900T using the BariatricPal App

  22. I LOVE this! We remodeled our master closet this weekend where my poor hubby had to make me see that over half of my clothes are hilariously big on me. Poor guy didn't realize that would mean he'd have to sit through a fashion show of everything in the closet! Lol Sent from my SM-N900T using the BariatricPal App And the desire for a shopping trip. Lol Sent from my SM-N900T using the BariatricPal App
  23. I sweat less, but still sweat. I had to laugh because my body temp in general seems lower to the touch. Even right after surgery my hubby told me the doc broke my heater. (He was always the cold one and snuggled me for warmth. ) Sent from my SM-N900T using the BariatricPal App
