  1. My surgery was Oct 5th and i lost 12 pounds the first week and then stopped completely this week. I guess it's normal to have stalling periods, but I think Constipation is the problem. Best of luck to you on your journey.

That's the same for me. I had my surgery on Oct. 4th. I lost 11 pounds the first week and nothing this week! Oh well, eventually it will all catch up. Good luck!

  2. I have a question for those of you more than a couple months post op. My hubby and I are going on a little vacation to New Orleans in November. I will be 5 1/2 weeks out. Can you all tell me what my diet will be around then? I know everyone is different and I plan on making smart meal choices, but I was just wondering if I will be able to eat regular food, not mashed or pureed? Thanks!

  3. Okay so I'm only 4 days post op but I continuously feel this immense pressure in my abdomen. Has anyone else experienced this? It's like my whole stomach area feels heavy and bloated and it's hard for me to breathe deeply...... I hope this feeling goes away!

I had my sleeve on October 4th. I think the pain in the abdomen is common. I also feel bloated, but I believe it's part of the healing process. I've noticedthat deep breathing is a little painful so I'm trying to do some breathing exercises to help. I think what we're experiencing is normal...good luck!

  4. Hi guys I was sleeved 4th Oct and feeling so emotional. The pain is fine it's the gas pains that make me want to cry. I am sat in the hospital wondering if I've done the right thing. I know many of you have probably thought the same thing just looking for some encouragement. Didn't know the gas would be this bad. I keep walking and walking but my God this is really bad. Dr won't give me any gas relief. My throat hurts so bad as well. God help me

Hi there. I was also sleeved on the 4th. The gas pains get better every day. Rest, rest and more rest. I actually feel better every time I wake up from a nap. Also, Gas-x strips have been my go to for the gas pains. Good luck!
