Just asking if they would cancel my surgery if I have caught a cold..Nervous already Sent from my SM-N910T using the BariatricPal App It depends on how bad your cold is.......sometimes if it's just a cold, no fever, no congestion, etc. it wouldn't be a problem....on the other had if you have a fever and chest congestion that could cause a problem. If you have a cold now it's probably a good idea to reach out to your surgeon's office now and perhaps they may want to prescribe something for you to prevent it from getting worse....Good luck to you! What are you allowed? If Protein shakes - get some additives like sugar free flavoring or PB2 to change it up. Buy a Blender Bottle. If you can have broth - make your own. Keep busy and remember this is temporary and we can get through it. I haven't cheated at all - done with day 6. I can have protein shakes, broth, sugar free popsicles or Jello and celery. It's brutal but I'm looking at the big picture.@krisrenLe.
