    Finally out of the three's!

And I am wearing size 18 jeans! I grabbed them out of the closet along with a pair of 20s (I've been in 22-24s for the last 3 months) and tried them on on a whim. I figured that the 18s would be a no go but they fit like a glove! HW 385 SW 359 CW 299 (out of the 300s!)

    Before and Afters 2017

The one with my husband is around my highest weight. The side by side are 25lbs (left) and 50lbs (right) lost. The single shot is me today. Four months since I started my pre op diet. I am exactly 300.0lbs and 85lbs down. Sent from my XT1021 using the BariatricPal App

    Almost 100 lbs down

Congrats! I am similar. 85lbs down and 3lbs away from being out of the 300s. It's also officially the most weight I have ever lost. HW 385 SW 359 CW 305 Sleeved 10/5/16

What do you eat? In semi solid phase?

During that phase I ate a lot of refried Beans and soft scrambled eggs. I also made the ricotta bake and added grated zucchini that I squeezed the Water out of. HW 385 SW 359 CW 305 Sleeved 10/5/16

    Best Plastic Surgeons in Mexico?

This thread is very helpful. I think I am going to need arm lift, thigh lift, 360 tummy and breast lift with enhancement. HW 385 SW 359 CW 305 Sleeved 10/5/16
  7. My go to egg dish is 3 parts liquid eggs, 1 part fairlife milk and 1 part cheese. Soft scrambled with a bit of salt and pepper it's good. HW 385 SW 359 CW 305 Sleeved 10/5/16

    Here's your sign...

I've never blown out my pants but I have worn away the thighs from chub rub or made a zipper give up the ghost. My sign was when my Ortho said I would need both my knees replaced inside 10 years (I'm 36) and my tendonitis in my elbows took 2 years to heal because of using my arms to push me out of a sitting position. 9. Anyone else go shopping in their closets? Finding clothes you loved but couldn't fit in or things you forgot you even bought? Been finally able to fit into those items that didn't fit but you bought anyway (because it was cheap/awesome) for after "the diet" and resulting weight loss? HW 385 SW 359 CW 305 Sleeved 10/5/16
  10. My surgeon allowed beef and pork at that stage as long as it was "wet cooked". I would suggest 1) check if your surgeon would allow stewed red meat and if he's says yes, then 2) get a very small Crock-Pot. I cook beef and pork, cut into 2" in or so chunks, in broth with aromatics. When they are fork tender I shred them and add back to the broth. HW 385 SW 359 CW 305 Sleeved 10/5/16

    Liquid diet

You pretty much have to just suffer through it. This is the hardest part in my opinion because you still feel hunger and are not used to the low Cal's. My Dr allowed Protein Snacks like cheese or deli meat when I just couldn't handle the growling, maybe yours will too. I lost 25lbs during this time. It's also a good time to practice drinking small amounts frequently. HW 385 SW 359 CW 305 Sleeved 10/5/16

    Stalling Already?

I am 3 months post-op and have had two stalls that lasted at least 10 days. I know I'm going to stop because I keep gaining and losing the same 2 to 4 pounds. I just stick to the plan and eventually I popped through it. All all the sudden lose 10 pounds in a couple of days. If constipation is an issue try Benefiber and Miralax. 13. But... We need to create a way to swap out clothes. A system that allows you to send in size a and get an equal number in size b, randomly. Like a 1 for 1 plus small charge. You may not love every piece you get but likely enough to warrant the fee. You could trade in as many pieces as you wanted. The clothes could be graded on a scale like A = casual (t-shirt/jeans) B = business casual C = formal/designer etc. 1 = shirt 2 = pants 3 = skirt You would get back the same amount and type of clothing turned in. A1 would be a casual skirt and you would get back a smaller or different casual skirt. Kind of like used book store meets gwenniebee. HW 385 SW 359 CW 305 Sleeved 10/5/16

Can I see a menu please?

Do you still have genepro and have you tried fairlife milk? Together they make a pretty decent Protein shake. I have what we jokingly refer to as "pregnancy nose" ALL THE TIME. It sucks, and makes drinking protein shakes icky because all I smell is the protein. I discover that the fairlufe chocolate covers the protein taste and smell really well and is ~200cals and 43g protein in an 8oz shake, thou I like to add 5-8oz ice to make it more shake like. Another option is bariatric food. WonderSlim is a brand I like. I will sometimes use 8 oz fairlife non fat with their creamy hot chocolate. It is also ~200 Cal's and is 30g protein. I can also hide half a serving of genepro into a container of oikios triple zero. HW 385 SW 359 CW 305 Sleeved 10/5/16

    Bowel movements

I poop every 7-10 days. It sucks. I share with my family now, who give me "thanks for oversharing" looks. If I got day 8 then I start with the benefiber and miralax. I eat a lot of cheese. Lol HW 385 SW 359 CW 305 Sleeved 10/5/16

My clothes still fit.. Feeling discouraged

It took awhile for me to be able go down a size. Most of the weight I have lost has been in butt and thighs. Some in my "forebelly/overhang. My pants were super baggy in the thighs but the same in the waist so I couldn't go down a size. I've been three different sizes in the same brand before, both Lane Bryant and Fashion Bug. It's crazy. Able to eat more than expected...

Do you eat eggs? I used to take 3 parts egg beaters, 1 part fairlife milk and 1 part cheese to make a soft scrambled egg. I also make my own Protein shakes using fairlife chocolate milk and GENEPRO. I blend it in my ninja with ice for a shake. It has a good chocolate flavor and covers up the genepro. I also add a tbs of PB2 for a change. Oikios triple zero is a decent high protein Greek yogurt if you can handle Greek. HW 385 SW 359 CW 305 Sleeved 10/5/16

Able to eat more than expected...

I can eat an 8oz yogurt and other slider foods in a single sitting but dense Protein like cheese or chicken it's more like 4. My nut said 80-90g protein (90 when exercising) and 800-1000 Cal's a day. I have had two long stalls where I gain and lose the same 3lbs, then all of a sudden lose 10lbs. I know I've been eating too much junky higher carb foods. Part of that is from feeding other non fat or no diet people. When husband gets the surgery I am going get back on a regimented diet. When husband is on pre and post op liquid diet I am going to do so as well. I think it will help him stay on track and will help "reset" me as well. HW 385 SW 359 CW 305 Sleeved 10/5/16

    No weight-loss

It's not uncommon to not lose or even gain right out of the hospital. You are pumped full of liquids and your body is traumatized. I went into surgery 359 and came out 372. I was pissed. My surgeon said it can take (on average) 2 weeks to process the fluids and swelling from the surgery. HW 385 SW 359 CW 305 Sleeved 10/5/16

    California friends

I had mine done through medical (anthem blue Cross). I didn't get to choose my original surgeon, he was the closest (56 miles!) that took our ins. I switched surgeons because my original had a ridiculously high lifestyle maintenance fee and was far enough away that we would never use the services. My home town was San Jose, so when I found a Dr in that area that took medical, had a good rep and worked with a good hospital we switched. It took a year to get the prerequisites and 6 months for approval. HW 385 SW 359 CW 305 Sleeved 10/5/16

Looks like I'm one of the few NorCals. Sleeved October 5th 3 months post op and 80 pounds down. My husband is getting sleeved February 1st. We are in Yuba City 35 miles outside of Sacramento. I was sleaved in San Jose and so will my husband. HW 385 SW 359 CW 305 Sleeved 10/5/16

    Any Post Op MARIJUANA Users?

I am a medical marijuana patient that is post op 3 months. I still get the munchies but it helps that it's a mental rather than physical feeling so I can usually get by with liquids. I have seen no change in my tolerance for marijuana though I have seen a change in tolerance for alcohol. I always smoke it. I can't do edibles since I had a rather unfortunate overdose that led to extreme vomiting. I generally have a puff or two to relax and maybe a couple of more to sleep. Typically I mix a high-cbd strain with a pinch of high THC strain 4 pain management. I recently tried dabbing and that knocked me on my butt. Though a dab of CBD meds works really well. Ice Cream Post Op

The first week I tried a bite of ice cream. I was having a hard time getting anything down and I thought a bite of ice cream might be soothing on my stomach. I took one bite , and cried because it tasted so nasty to me. A comfort food was no longer comfortable. I haven't had it since. HW 385 SW 359 CW 305 Sleeved 10/5/16
  24. It's been 3 months since my surgery. I have lost 80lbs. That's 40% of my excess weight or 21% of my starting weight. I am 6lbs away from being out of the 300s. I haven't been out of the 300s in 7 years. New year new me!! Sent from my XT1021 using the BariatricPal App

    Exercising

I am the same way. I feel like I am losing slowly, esp compared to other people who started at my size. I have lost 55lbs since the surgery (80lbs total including pre op diet) which equates to 4.5lbs per week. That is a really good rate but my brain doesn't focus on that part. It focuses on the guy who lost 100lbs in 3 months. HW 385 SW 359 CW 305 Sleeved 10/5/16
