  2. Why not? It's their post. If you don't like the parameters they put in THEIR post then dont comment (especially negatively) and get your "fee fees" hurt. Sent from my SM-N920T using the BariatricPal App

  5. _______________________________and you really have no call to say who this forum is for or not for. Everyone talks differently, the words may look the same - but with so many different meanings. I didn't see the wet blanket comment - don't really care about it, but for you to point it out and make a HUGE deal over it - makes me think of a drama queen... just... stop. I like that we can have conversations here without everyone getting butthurt over every little comment. I quit coming for awhile because everyone was getting upset over everything. Not getting butthurt over every little comment and not making a HUGE deal outta it, is being an adult. all of that aside - I still hate shopping. All. Of. This. Youre right and I love it! And yes, my name is Ms Chan and I'm a drama queen. Sent from my SM-N920T using the BariatricPal App

  8. I think this is a very interesting discussion that brings up some different perspectives. Personally I talked about culturally how I thought losing weight would impact me during my psych evaluation. I'm African American and having a voluptuous figure is an aspiration for many women. I also know some people who are survivors of abuse and being overweight gave them a feeling of protection. Plus, there's always room for a little light hearted banter Sent from my XT1565 using the BariatricPal App THANK YOU!! Wetblanketass non-perspective havingass no-it-alls get on my nerves. Sent from my SM-N920T using the BariatricPal App Who are you talking about? Sent from my SM-G930P using the BariatricPal App Its really directed at whoever made negative comments about the entire post. But more specifically the "sun in your eyes" blah blah blah comment. Sent from my SM-N920T using the BariatricPal App Not cool to call people names because you dont like their opinion. At all. Sent from my SM-G930P using the BariatricPal App Girl bye. Its not cool to be negative when people are having genuine discussions- albeit light hearted- but still genuine. Sent from my SM-N920T using the BariatricPal App

  11. That was actually one of the things I talked about in my preop psych evaluation. Culturally, black men appreciate a more voluptuous frame. When I was young and thin, everybody in my family tried to fatten me up. What most consider fat, we consider "thick". So yes yes and yesssss. @@mschan218 get ready to lose it girl. I haven't lost it all but I'm only 4 months out too. I had a nice butt before weight gain but I don't think its going to hold up much longer. I had a 38/23/42 measurement in high school mid 20's it was more like 40/26/45. So always small waist bottom heavy. @@losergrl75 my hubby met me in high school I was about 125 with those measurements. When we married 5 years later I was 125. So he's used to a smaller me... however he's really grown fond of BBW. I mean really. Like TMI his porn of choice is BBW. I'm afraid although this man has loved me through it all that I will not be as attractive to him. I know that's just my personal issue but it lingers... You can make him appreciate the new you too girl. Just refocus his attention *wink* Sent from my SM-N920T using the BariatricPal App

Maybe thats an incentive to begin to build muscle to keep the good "phat" Sent from my SM-N920T using the BariatricPal App
  13. I LOVE tbis post--its definitely an unpopular truth. I fear losing what i call "my black girl" the coke-bottle shape ive always had--small waist, butt you can sit a drink on, boobs that make men and babies drool...LOL Ive also been cursed with really skinny legs and ankles, so im not looking forward to them getting skinnier--i just pray that my thighs, which have always been big (my cheerleader nickname in college was "pork chop") will match the rest of my legs. Definitely praying i get to keep my T&A tho. Im also going to miss "junk food nights" with my girls: Wine, martinis, cheese, chocolate, dips & chips--we have a howling good time as you can imagine. Maybe i can have my martinis in a shot glass! LOL Sent from my SM-N920T using the BariatricPal App

I DONT KNOW HOW TO APPROACH THIS

Unless abuse is involved (physical and/or mental), i would neve tell someone to leave their S.O. My question is does he have a thing or even a fetish for big women? Can't deny that some people do. With that being said...the question then becomes does his preference outweigh (no pun intended), your preferences for yourself in terms of health and overall happiness with your body? Once you answer those questions honestly I'm sure you'll do what's best for you. ???? Sent from my SM-N920T using the BariatricPal App

Cheated 5 days after my sleeve

There's a difference between "Oooopsie ate a cookie!" and causing possible harm to yourself after a major surgery where they cut out most of an organ. Don't be ignorant. Well d*mn babbs...that was pretty douchy. Obviously she feels bad enough. Name calling? Really? TFOH Sent from my SM-N920T using the BariatricPal App I wasn't talking to the OP. I was talking to the typical enabling poster of "It's okay! We all make mistakes!!!!!! :) :)" f**king ridiculous. Oh ok. My bad. Im a bit sensitive when it looks people are getting picked on. 18. Greetings all Any ladies have VSG that also have the Mirena? Did they let you leave it in during surgery? Any issues afterwards? My preop process got shortened from 6 to 3 months (yay!), so i find myself coming up with a million and one questions--but this is the only one i havent seen discussed--unless i missed it. Anyhoo--just wondering if i need to make an appointment with my gyn during these last few months. Thanks! Sent from my SM-N920T using the BariatricPal App

    VSG with a Mirena

Thanks ladies! Although i know my mirena has contributed to some of my weight gain (food started tasting really good after i got it--like REALLY good-lol), ive heard about the hormone issues. And even though its in a different location, you just never know. Plus i dont want any hinderances during my weight loss stage. Sent from my SM-N920T using the BariatricPal App
