See what your nutritionist reccomends. Mine says look for drinks 100-200 calories max, 5 or less grams of sugar, carbs, and fat, and use products that are made with whey Protein isolate. Premier shakes are very popular, but they do not contain whey Protein isolate. I just tried Isopure Alpine Punch, and that was pretty good.

I'm so sorry for everything you're going through! But please remember you did just have surgery and you need to take care of yourself! You're only a few days post-op and things can still go wrong with your recovery. You did not eat too much, and you shouldn't be listening to their negative comments. With this surgery and accompanying lifestyle choices, you will be more focused on food. This is only natural. I'm sorry you lost your boyfriend, but if he's not going to give you the time of day to let you know why he's decided to go a seperate way and willing to leave you at such a major life changing time for you, you don't want him in your life. You're not failing, 8 lbs is great for 2 weeks post-op! Don't judge your loss against others', every body is different! Best of luck to you! Keep your head up!

Like others have said, first obstacle would be seeing what your insurance is willing to cover (unless you're paying cash). You can check your plan benefits and call your insurance company for their requirements. Second barrier would be what your surgeon is comfortable with. As far as the 6 mo wait is concerned, it's not always the case. My bariatric center just has testing, nutritionist, exercise therapist, psychiatric requirements that have to be met; but these can be completed asap and surgery can be scheduled 2 mo out from first visit. As far as dieting requirements, that can depend on your insurance and your surgeon's program requirements. For me, my surgeon just asked about diets I've tried and my successes and failures. As far as needing a pcp to coordinate with your surgeon, I only need a letter from my pcp saying that I'm able to have surgery. It wouldn't be a bad idea to meet with one and discuss your desire to have bariatric surgery. Good luck with everything!

You look amazing! If you really wanted to, I don't think loosing 10 lbs would make you look sickly or anything like that.

My MiL and SiL were approved at the same time, though, I couldn't tell you what insurance they have in NY. I know my MiL's BMI was 40+ with no comorbidities and my SiL was under 40 with comorbities.
