  1. Yes, celebrex is an NSAID. It's the only med I stopped.
  2. It's on hulu too - some seasons
  3. I put a greeting card flat over the top of the cup to remind me not to drink out of it during that time.Smart!
  4. Every time one of these posts comes up, I think the exact same thing. I wonder what percentage of those who say that WLS didn't work for them 1-2 years out were "cheaters" pre-op, post-op, and beyond?Worked for me at 3.5 years out but I'm one of those non-human compliant people clones. I legit did not "cheat" on my preop diet. I haven't "cheated" on post op either, but I don't get enough Protein. I think that's more compliant that most and my weight loss numbers show it. People eating nuggets, pork chops, and swedish fish should just give their surgery away to someone who will cherish the opportunity. Just my opinion.
  5. I have butterscotch at home. I'm going to try it! Thanks!
  6. I might try that. How protein shakey is it? Or does the pudding mask it?
  7. I have powders?utm_source=BariatricPal&utm_medium=Affiliate&utm_campaign=CommentLink" target="_ad" data-id="1" >unjury unflavored but the protein taste is so chalky (I can barely tolerate the nectar). I need to put on my big girl panties and figure it out. Problem is just choking it down isn't an option, as I'll vomit.
  8. Sheesh, seriously. I can't imagine carrying around a 45 lb anything all the time.
  9. I just want to know how in the heck you met Protein goals with less than 12 oz of food per day. I'm eating 5-6 small meals a day and have trouble meeting my goals. I'm getting sick of the protein shakes, but most of the meats are not sitting well with me and I'm not a huge egg or tuna person, so if I don't drink at least 1 shake a day, I have no hope of getting to my protein goal. I'd be sunk if they asked me to restrict to only 3 meals per day. (And I'm glad they aren't.) I struggle with protein as well. Protein bar for Breakfast, no snack, lunch was 3 slices of chicken (maybe 2oz?) With veggies and 1/2 a boiled egg. Protein Shake (nectar) for afternoon snack and thinking egg drop Soup for dinner. That nets me like 55g protein - NOT enough.
  10. I'm still trying to figure it out, waiting very impatiently to be able to hit the massive salad bar at work!
  11. I like the bbq ones! The rest taste, uh, different....
  12. I'm almost 7 weeks. I feel like somedays YES I ate so well today - and I get to the end of the day and check MFP to see I've eaten 600 calories. Some days I think I'm doing horrible, but my Protein and everything lines up better. I'm still learning, big time, but I don't think feeling less hungry is odd - 2oz of meat protein is going to go much further than 2oz of Jello.
  13. I have a new tattoo planned for 50 pounds lost - 5 pounds away!!!
  14. Yes, I struggle. I actually do better on work days, because I constantly have a cup right next to me. At home, I don't get up as early on the weekend, taje naps, etc none of which is conducive to a Water schedule. I bought a marked water bottle on amazon. It's helpful! I do miss drinks with meals. But, such is my new life!
  15. I wouldn't think so. 1-2 bites of carbs and I'm crazy full at 7 weeks out.
  16. I feel the same. I thought I was prepared. I had manuals and books, had asked all the questions, done all the research. MAN was I WRONG. I don't think you can be totally prepared. I still don't think I quite know what I'm doing (switching to the "eat anything" stage is hardddd). But I come here for help, and I know I can do it. And you can too
  17. Hey guys! Almost 7 weeks post op vsg, and finally have enough energy to start working out. (I had a 2nd surgery 2 weeks ago). How did you all start? I'm horrible at the gym by myself, but I used to love kick boxing and zumba classes at the Y. I've looked at 9 rounds, they do a full kickboxing based workout in half an hour. Then of course there's the Y, and just the plain ol gym. I have NO idea what I'd be doing on exercise machines, with free weights, etc. My husband is Navy so he could show me some but I know the Y has an "extra" option for some time with a personal trainer. After being out of shape, how did you all start? I'm a 27yo female, if that makes a difference
  18. Yes, I've had this happen to me often (almost 2 months out). It sucks because it's not like I'm hittung up McDs - but hopefully it will all settle soon enough
  19. Congrats!!! You'll love having it taken in, it will be perfect just for you! Interesting. I've lost 45 pounds and my brain won't process the change.
  20. My size 20 wedding dress fit perfectly when I was an actual 14
  21. Hormones made my body crazy to the point I had to have a second surgery. You can always see your OBGYN but period and other things seem to go haywire for most women.
  22. 5'10 - 310 SW. I'm down 45 lbs in 7 weeks - still the same clothes size though. So I guess that's 265 CW.
  23. Yeah I think your chicken calorie count is off! For sure ????
  24. Brisket, smoked. Carolina style vinegar sauce. Just shred the meat really well. Mini meatballs are also good for me. But. I'm tired of them too lol.
