Is this a bad food choice?

I had some chicken sausage on the grill yesterday. I'm 9 weeks out. It was 140 cal and 15g protein (aldi brand). It was great, I ate the link with nothing else. I'd just watch fat content so you don't have an experience like @@birddog

    Dehydration!

Buy several drinks. One g2, one vitamin water zero, single small packs of crystal light in 2 flavors. Whatever else is calorie free or very very low in calories. You'll find something you like, but it's really trial and error. I was g2 for a while, then vitamin water zero. Now I'm on diet cranberry juice. I'm sure it'll change again!

    Low Carb Pasta

I'm so terrified of pasta. I'm Italian - always pasta everywhere. I still haven't tried it, worried it could be a trigger or slider food. [emoji53]
  4. Y'all just ignore ignorant people. Mine is nails and hair (which is true, my mama blessed me with both). But come on world. Don't be so bleeping rude/dumb/mean. @@Raymia I'm sure you're going to knock their socks off and it'll be fun when you do!!+
  5. I don't "crave" salt but I do find myself adding salt at the table to a lot of things, especially soup/stew out of the crock pot.

    Delayed menstrual cycle?

I've heard good things about the mirena here. I think I'll give it a go. Thanks for sharing!! ????
  7. I told my family with the exception of my brother and sister in law. My mom told everyone in the world, but my dad and stepmom have kept it to themselves. SIL asked yesterday why it was taking me so long to eat (as the remainder of my family wolfed down 2 plates). My stepmom told her I had to take small bites. SIL replies "but why does it take so long?" SMom then says "if you took tiny bites you'd take a long time to eat too" SIL is crazy. Other than that, it's just no one else's business. I've had several surgeries for endometriosis, so it was an easy cover.
  8. I've never had kale that doesn't taste like bitter nastiness. When only so much can fit, it sure as $#!+ won't be kale. Any other greens though, this southern lady is down!

Ladies only - IUD or Implant?

Oh that's awesome - I also have endo and uterine dysplasia. I'd love for mine to stop, it had for 2 years until this surgery.

    Delayed menstrual cycle?

Thrown way way off. Debating between mirena iud or nexplanon implant to get this under control. I've been bleeding for over 2 months.

    WLS Clothing Destash (LuLaRoe)

So what size were you ladies able to fit into TC? I'm and 18 but one pair ripled in the butt, even though they felt like they fit and the other are super tight. I thought they fit up to a 22?
  12. rolosmom7

    Costs resulting from WLS

What pant size were you able to start wearing them? I'm an 18 but 1 pair is super tight and the other has huge rips in the butt a few hours after I put them on. But they felt like they fit? I ordered them with the plan on being able to keep them as I shrink.

    Still can't wear jeans.

What size are you? I got some TC leggings and one pair is tight as all, and the others ripped on the butt. Like. Big rips. I'm an 18 so I don't get it - everywhere online says they go to a 22 and some people say 24 can fit. They're so soft!!

    Alcohol

I'm not a drinker either - maybe 1 to 2 times a month pre surgery. I was cleared at 8 weeks and had apple saki at a work event which was yummy and fine, and then we went to a client dinner where a rather arrogant man ordered 2 insanely expensive bottles of wine - I left half of my glass while everyone else polished off 2-3 glasses. I felt kinda bad since I think I left like 50 bucks of wine, but. Who even orders wine that expensive? Tasted bad anyway, like someone dumped black pepper into it. I was fine after that half glass as well.

I hate that I had this surgery

It took me 6 weeks to feel quasi normal. At 9 weeks I still have my days. Try to get your calories up some, maybe fairlife milk can help if you kix it in shakes since it's more calories than Water and has extra Protein. As for your husband ... do y'all own a literal dog house?

    First Thanksgiving

I did well. I had my normal breakfast, our dinner was around 3. Half a turkey slice, 2 bites of stuffing and green bean casserole, 2 creamed onions (these are bite size onions) and at the end 1 bite of sweet potato. No one noticed or cared except my sister in law who pressed my parents for info. My parents know, but she doesn't since she's a nosey judgemental little thing. I lost a pound since yesterday, so I think it went well!

    "The Crown"

    Oh you'll be addicted!
  18. rolosmom7

    How do you know

My fitness pal has just about everything. You just have to guess what the size is. So 1 egg, split into 3 butes is maybe .25 an egg - just change the number to a fraction that reflects how much of something you ate. I also keep MFP at 900cal instead of 1000cal so I have room if I misjudge things here and there.
  19. I've lost 52 pounds since surgery 9/15 but only 4 since 11/7. I assumed it would slow down. I'm sure it'll pick up again, then slow down again. As long as the scale is going the right direction, I wouldn't worry.

I love it SO much. Excellent if you like to watch the fashion [emoji4]

    Popcorn

I had popcorn at 2 months out. I'd really caution it because it can get stuck down into the staple line if not fully healed. I've heard for some it's a slider - it wasn't for me.
  22. I had one crock pot. Now I have 3. Haha! It just makes things so easy and convenient. Also, crock pot liners are my new BFF. So maybe check out some crock pot recipes.

This is Us -- possible spoilers

Hmm. I haven't seen last night's but have seen them up to then. I wonder if she's having WLS too, but it'd be hard to act while in post op for at least a month, maybe longer. Very interesting though!!

Ladies only - IUD or Implant?

I'm on my first one, but I agree. Getting it hurt like a B, but after that, I'm golden. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G890A using the BariatricPal App Thanks everyone! I really appreciate y'alls insight and experiences! Eek, poor thing!! Glad she's doing better now.

    Drinking sprite

Yeah, I'd think sprite would be one of the worst things to put on your tummy. At least as far as drinks go. Try water with lemon and lime if you want the flavors. Or lemon lime g2. I liked how that tasted right after surgery.
