2 weeks for me today. Lost 29 pounds since preop. Scars still hurt a little, solid BM. Hiccups gone, finally met my Protein goal today. Struggling with fluids, have been promoted to mushies- anything I can mash with a fork, using Patches for supplements. Over all feeling pretty good. Everyday it gets a little bit better. I was just cleared today for full liquids. I noticed it's harder to get in the fluids & rote insurance & I could only eat a few bites of food throughout the day. Logic tells me this makes sense as they are more dense foods but is the normal and how long does it last, I'm already struggling to meet my goals. This I did not expect, nor was I prepared for..... I had surgery 1 week ago. The pain in the chest I also experienced s well as hiccups. I started using a straw and it all went away. I think the sips were causing me to take in air with the liquids and causing the pain, with a straw I don't take in as much air and no more pain or hiccups. I was in your boat too. I gained the weight to be told my employer didn't cover any WLS, so that made me private pay. The extra weight 15 pounds caused me to have high blood pressure & my knees hurt from the extra weight, asthma got worse, AND I had to lose the extra weight too. I was sleeved Monday, using leg compression machine that I got from surgeons office. Walking helps with legs so you don't get a clot & taking miralax daily will help with the BM.
