  1. I had sleeve, hernia repair and gallbladder removed. I went in at 1 pm and was in my room by 6 pm. Surgery was about 2 hours and recovery was 3 hours. My leak test was done during the surgery, how I have no idea. 3 hours in recovery was due to BP being extremely low.

I am facing the same procedures. Can I ask how the recovery went for you after you came home? I have taken 5 weeks off of work as I anticipate it will be a more difficult recovery.

  2. I've cleaned out the pantry & fridge, told my family to please be considerate as this is a struggle. They have older so it's easier but they have been eating my vegetable Soup and then I made them a special gluten filled casserole - for each week and 2 weeks after surgery- which I was never able to eat as I'm GF, that they can just heat up in the oven.

The hardest part so far was celebrating my son's birthday at a restaurant last night. I was able to find low sodium Soup, Decaf unsweetened tea and took SF Jello while they all ate pie. My daughters bday is going to be post op so who knows where I'll be in the process then. But I found a way to make it work!

  3. I'm scheduled to be sleeved on September 26, they are also repairing my hietal hernia & removing my gallbladder bladder. I've had several test done as my GB has been causing me pain. ALL the test have come back normal, but my surgeon has agreed to remove it during WLS. I'm on medication for my GB as well. Thete has to be a medical reason to remove it to have insurance pay for it. I'm a self pay Pt. as my insurance doesn't cover VSG.

  4. Anyone else have issues with how expensive those shakes are. He wants me to get the EAS advant edge carb control. 3shakes a day at 6 bux a 4 pack. X 2 weeks. Holy moly! I bought 4 4 packs that will get me through 5 days. Then I'll figure something out. Don't take me wrong, I have a 2 whole huge jugs of premier powder that I can use after surgery. But for the preop he only wants me to use that EAS rtd stuff.

Have you tried Sams Club or costco to see if they carry it in bulk?
