I'm keeping it real. I'm 3 months post op. I have never had problems with constripation until I had WLS. I've taken Mirlax, which don't work for me. Stool softeners takes to long to move BM. Probiotic is a joke. A few days ago I decided to take Milk Magnesium before going to bed. This did the trick. I'm going to stock my medicine cabinet with this stuff. Someone mentioned the gel, I'm going to try it. The liquid form works fabulous. Anyway, It's not my intention to put fear in you. The good news though, I do not regret one moment. I wish I would have done it sooner. Continue doing what you doing. Discuss your concerns with your surgeon. You want to make sure that you're making the right decision. I wish you the best in this new journey.

NYCDreamer reacted to OutsideMatchInside in 10 months out and stalled for first time.
A pound of feathers weighs the same as a pound of rocks. A pound is a pound. Density and volume are different.
    @NYCDreamer
It is pretty normal to stall and for an extended period of time. I had a stall like that, I thought I was done losing. In that time I dropped 2 sizes, then I started dropping weight again and lost like another 30 pounds.
If you have been losing steady all this time, your body is just probably taking a break.

I haven't been on this forum in forever so thought I'd make a post. :-)
I will be 9 months post op in 3 days after being sleeved on 11/21/16. I started the WLS process on April 11, 2016 after basically being overweight my entire life. At my highest weight I was 398 pounds wearing a size 28W pant and 4X top. I lost 100 pounds over a few years and would always regain and lose down to around 300 after that. In Feb 2016 my PCP told me my blood work showed that I was just points away from being diabetic (runs in my family) and that unfortunately my BP meds were no longer working even though they were now at the highest dose I could go. She said if things didn't change drastically and quickly I may not see my 40th birthday. (My family has a history of heart issues and death before 40). I had already completed a full year supervised diet and workout program and had lost and regained the same 20 lbs. My body was just happy between 280 and 300. She suggested WLS and I had my first consult a few months later. At the consult I weighed in at 298.6 pounds and was wearing a size 24W pant and 3X top. After my 7 months waiting period due to insurance requirements I was sleeved on November 21, 2017.
This morning I weighed in at 175 pounds and I am in a size 12 pant and can wear both a women's L top or a Juniors XL. I am off my BP meds, my blood work is amazing and I just feel so much better. I turned 33 this year and have 4 children and feel better now than I did in my 20's pre kids lol.
Anyways here are some before/after pics. Some are highest weight to now and some are post op to now

WOW!! Following I would like to know what part of Mexico it will be. We went to Juarez, Mexico in June for my hubby's Sleeve surgery. I WOULD NOT go there again!! Now I have heard great things about Tijuana. That might be something to check out. I had my Panni done 1 year ago here in Oregon. My PS removed 10 plus #'s. But didn't do all that we had discussed. So I am not totally happy with my results. I started asking about some things I wasn't happy with. He told me that he would give me a deal on a Breast Lift and Lipo and would give me a great deal!! $6,000 to $7,000. He also told me not to stress about these surgeries because these are happy surgeries!! I feel like he was trying to make more business!! Incidentally, my Panni ended up costing my insurance $32,000.00 due to a reaction to the muscle relaxant they used so I was in ICU for 7 hours with a tube done my throat!! Not GOOD!! If only he would have told me about needing LIPO and I would need a Tummy Tuck I would have gladly paid the extra!! I'm 60 YO and I stress about my body image all of the time but not sure if I would have another surgery.

NYCDreamer got a reaction from Malin in 1 week out
So I'm officially one week out as of today. Have been able to hit Fluid and Protein goals since day 3, and only took pain meds for first two days. Went back to work on day 4. I feel very lucky and blessed as it seems there are many who've had a rough go of it in the first few weeks. I'm down 21 lbs since preop, with 5lbs lost since sx. Not too concerned yet as I know I was very bloated on fluids in the hospital. Doc gave me a good report and even told me to start purees early if I wanted (org told start purees at 2 weeks). Can't wait to see where I'm at in a month!

NYCDreamer got a reaction from Raymia in This is it
The day has finally come. I'm currently sitting in the waiting room at the hospital getting ready to head into preop. I'm so excited and nervous. I've been through such a wild ride so far, and I know it's just beginning. Managed to lose 17 lbs on preop, and 111lbs since my journey began in January. Here's to the new start of the rest of my life!

NYCDreamer got a reaction from Raymia in I don't know my goal weight...
My goal weight is 160. I'm 34 and 5'4. I know I'll have loose skin as my high weight was 374 back in January. I'm 263 now so I have about 100 lbs to lose. My surgeon thinks I'll hit that within 9mon - 1 year.

Thank you! I'm super ready lol. And yes, I've gone far passed my expectation preop. The 6 month doc supervised plan really changed my life. I developed different habits and it made me prepared as best as I can be for life after sx. I know some ppl don't want to wait, but I'd recommend that to all!

NYCDreamer got a reaction from thatmeanone in NSV today
So today I went to a wedding of a dear friend of mine. First off, I was able to find a awesome dress I could wear that didn't look like a mumu and, I discovered I fit into an 18/20. I've always been 26/28.
Next, at the wedding I came across people I haven't seen in years. All kept commenting on how much weight I lost and how great I look in the dress. Let me mention that for the above listed mumu reason, I haven't put a dress on in about 10 years. It was always slacks and a blazer.
I felt like a woman today. I felt pretty and playful and even caught myself flirting with people. This all before I've even had surgery. I honestly can't wait till I have my sleeve and become even smaller.
