  1. I've only heard of taking massive amounts of Biotin even before the surgery to help prevent it. I am not looking forward to it either~ hopefully my efforts pay off and it won't happen as drastically with all the Biotin I've been taking!

I was told to not take more than the recommended amount as a supplement and then there is some in the multi Vitamin because you can only absorb so much and the rest of the excess is in your urine..

  2. You must have been really disappointed but having said that it's good that the dr didn't just do the surgery and butcher you. Thank the good Lord for that. I'll say a prayer for you! Best wishes.

If your diabetic the surgery of choice is the Bypass.. perhaps thats why they chose that Im surprised they just didnt do a sleeve while they were in there. My doctor basically said they would strive for laproscopic bypass but left the option for open bypass or sleeve if something was hindering the bypass

  3. I had a lot of pain from day 14 to day 24 in my left side under where my incision was. The doctor said its because they stitch deep and tight there to be sure you dont get a hernia it was worse than any pain I had after surgery so it took me by surprise. My doctors rule of thumb if you arent sure call.. worth a call to the doctor to be safe

  4. your feelings are normal I remember having several questioning weeks.. but remember your body just had surgery It will create extra fluids to help you heal .. it happens I didnt lose the weight I gained from surgery (I went home 23 pounds heavier than I went in) for 3 weeks.. I was devastated then all of a sudden it started coming off. I go through periods every 15 to 20 pounds where my weight stays the same for a week or currently 13 days.. it happens our bodies have to adjust. I can say that Im almost 5 months now and Im thrilled where I am and where I am headed. You will feel that way to one day. So dont regret happier days are ahead

  5. I felt and still at times feel Im a slower loser.. but I must say that all in all that isnt really so. Whn I look at the total and see Im still losing. I think sometimes we have unrealistic ideas of what we should lose. I gained 23 pounds from day of surgery to my go home weight after surgery It took me almost a month to hit 1 pound of loss from that. But I have lost 68 more pounds since then and I had been dieting for 4 months prior which I now understand also effects my speed of weight loss. Realistically I have lost 70 pounds at 5 months from surgery and 45 prior to surgery and I am healthier and 115 pounds lighter so I am happy. I will lose more..and so will you. You are doing fine. Get your fluids in and get your Protein in ( i need someone to tell me that) Get in 60 minutes of activity.. its happening.. be happy We didnt get here in a month or 3...

  6. What is the difference between Calcium carbonate and calcium citrate?

Difference between Calcium Carbonate and Calcium Citrate

It is clear then that calcium carbonate is alkaline based while calcium citrate is acid based.

According to scientists, calcium is best absorbed when it is in an acidic environment, hence for better and quick absorption of calcium, calcium citrate is better than calcium carbonate. It does not require extra acids from our stomachs; hence we can take calcium citrate as supplement any time of the day.

  7. Trust me if something is leaking its better than it staying in I had a drain 2 days in the hospital with very little in the bulb, I got it out came home and got seromas on 3 of my incisions One was so large they had to reopen my incision and press as the Fluid squirted out about 50cc. The idea is for the Fluid to come out as long as the doctor is aware let it leak

  8. Oh wow do I remember those days.. I am 6 weeks out and this is the first full week of feeling human again. Eating is a challenge but Im getting there. I PROMISE you it gets better. I had several days I cried and asked why did I do this.. well I did it because Im Obese and wasnt losing enough with conventional ways.. I am down 46 pounds since my pre surgrical diet.. I feel different I can bend down and tie my shoe without being out of breath, I can walk a real walk not just to the end of the drive without being exhausted. I know its hard in the beginning I was just there a few weeks ago and already there is a huge difference IT GETS BETTER
