Alot of people have issues with chicken unless very moist or mixed with gravy, broth, etc. Someone talked about cooking chicken in crockpot with broth and shredding it when done (like pulled pork).
My hubby had that problem with chicken...until I made it in the crock pot. He ate it fine at 6wk post op.

  2. I'm glad this question was asked and answered, my hubby and I were just talking about this the other day and learning this info is very helpful. Post op it seems everything has changed with this new lifestyle...sex included. I'm learning something new every day!

  3. Ok, kinda silly...but a bunch of ladies and I went walking together. 2mile walk..They all wanted to do lunch out after. I was unprepared, but ok, I'll go. I haven't gone out to eat since surgery. Have to try it at some point. Looked at menu..eek. not really anything on my kinda list. So I choose the Buffalo chicken salad with Salad Dressing on the side. I surprised myself, I only ate my correct size portion, I used myfitnesspal app to be sure calorie count was fine and I hadn't over carbed it. I didn't drink before or after like I am supposed to. I ate slowly and did not over eat. And best of all I did not resort to my old bad ways. No overstuffing myself, ordering everything on the menu or eating the most unhealthy food there... And I enjoyed my lunch out with friends. I can survive the real world! I can keep in control of my eating...I feel happy and in control. Now eating out is NOT going to be often in my life. Sticking to the program. Today was a treat...but not an out of control treat! Ok...what's the next adventure!

  4. I get it. I'm pretty much at the same place you are. Getting very bored with the same foods, cause they dont make me feel icky. I try to eat food as much as I can, but I do have a Protein Drink every AM. But the scale stalls, the weight isn't coming off even doing the program and with exercise. Grrr. I miss enjoying food and if I get Constipation one more time, I'll explode. It's going to get better...I know this deep underneath all this blah. But this is hard. Do you have support? I'm seeing a counselor once a week, this helps...my friends and family are great, but they don't get it. I try to look at little gains. My clothes are baggier, I fit better with the seatbelt. Am I totally convinced I made the right choice...not yet. Am I able to see some good, yes. So I hold on to that and hope it gets better like everyone on here says it will. Good luck to you.

  5. I'm addicted to the scale. I've gotten it down to once a day, but it's hard to resist. I know there are ups and downs, so that doesn't phase me. But each morning I want to see if there is progress.

I know the scale is not going to be my friend because I already weigh every 5 minutes. I have asked my husband to keep it in his truck and only let me have it on Mondays.

Awesome idea...I tell my hubby to hide it...but he likes checking once a day too. We're enabling each other..lol!

  6. Basically your dr wants to know everything about your body, so once they get inside you, there won't be any surprises. I know I had it done, I actually have a few gallstones....but my gallbladder looked healthy and no symptoms, so they left it in me. But the dr knew they were there and took a look to be sure all was well. This is major surgery and the more the dr knows about your body, the smoother surgery will go.

  7. Hope you are ok....I went through 2wks of Constipation and pain. It's miserable. My PCP dr was useless....but my bariatric dr got me taking very strong meds and I finally got cleaned out. Take constipation very seriously, if your dr is not helpful, move on to the next dr. Hoping you are better.
