  1. Oh, I just thought of a biggie! All the money I have spent on pretty new clothes!

    Good point! It's expensive!

Immediately after surgery it was the gas pains. They were horrific for me and had me literally screaming in pain at the hospital which is crazy cause I never verbalize pain like that.

A few days after, I had a really hard time getting my liquids and Protein and was getting about half of the recommended amount. I did enough to not get dehydrated though.

At 10 weeks out, I still struggle to get my 80 grams of Protein. My weight loss has slowed to a crawl which has been difficult to deal with. I'm starting to step up my workouts and really focus on getting my protein in.

Overall, I've had a great experience. I've been able to tolerate everything, have never been nauseous and have healed well.

  2. Awesome! I feel like everything you wrote is in my head. You described it perfectly. I'm working on creating new coping skills, not food. It's a real challenge, but I know in the end, I'll be better for it. Good luck to you.

  3. I grazed last night.... After dinner I had a snack, just veggies...but then later I ate a little more....then a little later I ate more. Cucumbers and tomatoes...and a few Edamame...but even healthy food, it was still grazing. Grazing is a hard habit to break, an old habit to break. Frustrated with myself and of course the fear I'm stretching out my little tummy hits me too. Today is a new day, right? Try harder tonight to control this.

  4. I use exercise, art, crafts...but I also use a counselor. Letting go of the emotional food eating is the hardest part for me. I felt lost with out it. But it is better. I am getting stronger and healthier in so many ways. I'm 2.5 months out and my journey is still in the beginning, can't wait to see what life will be like in 6 months!

  5. I tend to be able to eat a bit more Soup than any regular food, during meals. I'm not over doing it by any means and I'm staying with the calories, carbs, and Protein counts. I eat slowly with baby spoons. I eat my 1/2 cup portion with

solid food meals and am quite full, but with Soups I tend to go a little over to feel that full feeling. Do you think soup is a slider food? Just wondered.
