  1. My goal is 195 by Christmas...just to see that scale below 200 will be enough of a Christmas present.
  2. I would think people would certainly believe in you. You have been here a very long time, and apparently know that although emotional, Lisa tells it like it is and she doesn't lie. You can whitewash anything, but it doesn't make the truth go away.
  3. It is after all the smelliest of cheeses!!
  4. Penni's part is forgotten and Lisa is gone. What is wrong with this picture?
  5. Many people were involved in many things at different times on this board Funny...your friends also!! What Penni and Lisa did was a violation of trust among LBT and you can't sugar coat that noway and nohow
  6. I tore the anterior cruciate ligament and a tendon in my leg. The x-ray showed the knee filled with arthritis. I didn't want to have surgery while visiting in Tennessee. I wanted to be able to go home to Idaho for my surgery....so they did arthroscopic surgery on that knee. If anything it is worse than it was before. It didn't fix one single thing. I am still limping on it, and still planning on getting home with it to have my surgery. I have to get my fills here first though. I too need a total knee replacement, but am trying to hold off as long as possible.
  7. Why was Lisa banned for a PM. I've been told on more than one occasion if you have a problem don't put it on the board, go to a PM. Well a PM is what got Lisa in all this trouble because it was forwarded to others. She did what she was told she took it to a PM and now she is banned for it. She is retalliating because everyone was given one last chance...everyone but Lisa and that's not fair. She did what we have all been told to do, and should be given a second chance just like everyone else. So, PM's are obviously not the way to go for sure....I will make sure I tell my friends to contact me by e.mail so anything I say in a PM can't be used against me. WHY did the MOD's tell people to take it to PM's if they didn't mean it? That is my question here. If you follow the rules and go to PM's, why be punished for it? Lisa put her feelings in a PM and felt she was in the right, and she should have been. Why would a moderator put a lot of stock in PM's and now tell us we have to be careful of our "PM's" also? Lisa just lost a beloved pet, and she needs support just like everyone else. Her threads about her dog were beautiful. I for one miss her, and thinks she deserves another chance just like everyone else on here.... I say BRING BACK LISA. She is truthful and honest to a fault and liked by many....she can also be brazen and daring but things were heated up here and remarks made about Lisa when she wasn't even here...such as "I hope she never comes back" and "Who needs the drama". Why aren't those people that said that held accountable? Lisa defended herself. A personal PM which we are told to use should never go to Alex anyway...that's my thoughts. Someone made him aware of this for sure. I love LBT, but I question why things happen to the wrong people at the wrong time.
  8. Not enough sleep last night I guess. I should have figured that one out on my own. Thanks guys.
  9. I would like to see Penni speak up before this thread gets locked.....I think given the accusations made it's the only fair way to handle things. I would like to hear both sides of this story.
  10. I'm missing the "report bad posts icon" on all my threads. Can anyone tell me why? Thanks. Maybe you just can't see it next to your own name and it has taken me all this time to notice. Is that it? I see it next ro everyone else's name. Maybe this has always been this way and I just noticed.
  11. I notice everyone else has the icon, but I don't.....strange.
  12. Is it just my computer or has the icon to report a bad post been removed. Can someone give me an answer why? Thanks.
  13. I just didn't like someone claiming there was a non-existant place in TN.
  14. I've had a number of illnesses (mostly since I lost my hubby 10 years ago). I've had a fracture of my ankle in 3 places and had pins placed; had gall bladder surgery; had 5-way-bypass surgery; knee surgery...you are right it is tough to believe these are the golden years. BUT, since my banding surgery last mo. I've felt so much better. I've finally underwent a surgery I wanted It has made me feel and look younger....so golden is beginning to look pretty good to me. The alternative to the Golden Years is not a good one....so I'll take all the years I can get with my wonderful family. Good luck to you.
  15. (sighs) Could we please keep this thread on topic? Thank you so much:faint:
  16. Never heard of the place. I do believe it is non-existent. What next? I love Tn. and now have to find out there is someone out there causing problems from my beloved state....not cool. I agree with 3 Loves. This post needs to go. It is more than dumb and stupid...it is the ramblings of some individual that has no interest in the lapband forum. BTW I'm still in search of my navel
  17. I can't seem to find the right words to say to this post. I hope someone will come forward with some explanation, because I'm at a loss for words (for a change). It's very hard to believe that a MOD and member would commit a hoax like this on LBT. I kind of wish I haden't read it, and now I have a million unanswered questions. WHY? Why play with the lives of already fragile people on a common mission? What was fun about that? Why use multiple names to make fun of them? I've always been told to take anything or everything to a PM that wasn't for discussion on the board or we had a complaint. Apparently this isn't a true reflection of what was supposed to be. I have now changed to e.mail in order to correspond with people. I hope there will be some answers forthcoming from this post by the MOD involved, and not simply have the post deleted or shut down. Wow, this is beyond comprehension.
  18. Are you from Utah?
  19. I am not a calorie counter. I am 5 weeks out and there is nothing that I can't eat. I also enjoy a diet soda every day. I have lost 20 lbs. since banding, so I'm apparently doing the right things. Your weight loss is amazing. It could be that if you are bigger you lose a lot faster...I have no clue on this one. Your loss is magnificent and I applaud you. I only spent a few days on liquids, advanced to mushies and onto solids. I obviously don't have a lot of restriction because I can take all my pills in one handful. I can also eat anything (although I don't eat much of it). I truly believe psychologically at least the band is doing the job. My problems may increase two-fold when I get my first fill on the 19th. We shall see My dr. OK'ed the diet drinks...said if they didn't cause me gas go for it. I've never had a gas pain, even after surgery. I wish you the best of luck. You are off to an awesome start. I would definitely just follow the guidelines your surgeon gives you as everyone is different. Best of luck to you
  20. My daughter who is a nurse volunteered after Katrina to help out. She never saw such devastation in her life. She worked the 9th ward and couldn't believe the people left stranded by our Government. They also waited for buses that never arrived. I thought by now that was common knowledge. People who were poor; had no insurance and no way to get it; and no cars to get out. She will never forget what she experienced. You can never be prepared for anything like that type of flooding, and flood insurance costs a small fortune these people didn't have. We truly got to see America's poorest families and how they were mistreated. I personally will never forget it. T.O.M. my heart goes out to you...I mean that truly.
  21. With you I'm willing to share Tony (somewhat) Briston stunk for me also....Tony was driving a piece of junk. At least neither of the Busch brothers won. I kind of would have liked to see Burton win a race...it's been quite awhile. At least Jimmie Johnson didn't win again  Matt Kenseth is getting his stuff in order for sure, but my main man will always be.....................
  22. There is a guy on here named Sam who I'm sure will see your post and give you all the correct info. Somewhere I have the phone # for Fill Center USA and I will search through my stuff if you need the phone #. Let me know and I will get their number for you and they will set you up on the Florida area. Welcome to LBT. I haven't had a fill yet. I was banded on July 19 and have lost 20 lbs. without a fill. I'm looking forward to getting my fill in Sept., but my dr. gives you plenty of time to heal. As for side sleeping, what 3 Loves told you about the pillow, is the best advise I could give you. It certainly helped me. I hope you are doing well. Don't hesitate to ask questions.
  23. My dr. moves to solids very quickly...only a few days on liquids and a week on mushies and onto solids. It may not be for everyone, and I would definitely check with my dr. before doing anything. Your program could be much different. BTW I had a lite hotdog on a wheat bun....and it wasn't the very first thing I had, but it wasn't too far down the road. I wish you luck, but above all your dr. should be your guide on this one.
  24. At 3 weeks out I was on solids and one of the first things I had was a hotdog on a bun. I had absolutely no trouble with it, but perhaps you would like to try this experiment yourself before you are with a group of people. I'm sure people have different reactions. Good luck to you.
  25. I'm jealous of that wonderful temp you have in Indiana...it's really hot and muggy here in Tennessee but the thunder is rolling, so a storm is headed this way, and my knee doesn't allow for much walking. I'm so happy your first fill was a positive experience. It was so good to hear as I prepare to have my first. You are my inspiration. Keep up the good work, and yes it is wonderful just to be alive and see such a cheerful post I hope it's OK to ask you here do you like the new weight loss sticker...I love it. "I will not cheat on my diet"....it's cute don't you think. Apparently the site is back up and I now have two tickers  The top ticker has to go, but will have to wait for daughter (the computer genie) to fix it. I'm "computer challenged". Luv ya, Dody
