  1. I know to skinny women everywhere, this is no big deal, but to me? I'm shouting to the rooftop. Anyone that is bottom heavy like me knows the struggle. A month ago I could finally cross them but it wasn't a comfortable position since I had to force them to stay crossed. Today, I crossed them and sat comfortably for an hour! Eeekkk! Also, to all those bottom heavy girls, you know this is a big accomplishment SW 250 CW 192 Surg date 8/25/16 Regarding my stats, my weight loss is kind of slow but it's steady so that is ok by me. However, if only I could lose weight as fast as I'm losing my hair I'd be even more happy!!! Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

    Women - losing hair?

Major hair loss here. I'm nearly 4 months out. Hoping it stops soon. I'm the only one who has noticed as of yet. No balding or scalp showing but when I wear it in a ponytail, I can wrap my hair tie around it almost 4 times as opposed to the 2 times it use to be. Luckily I started out with very thick hair. My hair is waist length and I don't want to cut it. I just need it to stop coming out by the handfuls so that I don't have to. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

    Favorite Purée foods?

I made a ricotta bake and portioned into tupperware and froze. Portioned things for smoothies and froze so that I could pull out and blend and go. Made cheddar, broccoli and cauliflower Soup and froze into portions etc. I meal prepped for the whole 2 weeks on puréed, in one day and froze everything. There are many great recipes on Pinterest for all the Bariatric diet stages. Oh and eggs. I ate eggs until I couldn't eat eggs anymore! I literally despise them now. Insight on hair loss?

I have definitely lost more than a quarter! However, the good news for you is that it is different for everyone and some don't even lose any hair. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App My doc told me not to bother. That if I were gonna lose hair, there would be no stopping it no matter what I wasted my money on. 9. I think gene pro has a terrible flavor. However, i use it daily. Reason being is that it's the only thing I can get my Protein in with that I can add to a very small amount of liquid and chug it like a shot of NyQuil. My doc advised my protein levels are perfect and I've been counting it as 30g of protein. I take it once a day, one shot. 30g. Then get my other protein from food. I did all the bad things!

I lose focus on long posts. I may have undiagnosed A.D.D but that's ok. I've managed so far in life and been above average in the "successful" department. Anyway, I must say, your posts always entertain while also getting a point across. I've never stopped reading half through like usual. You really should be writing for a living. Lol. Oh, and I think you did great at the party! You didn't go for the super big no no's even though they were right in you face. That's an accomplishment in itself Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

    Impatient [emoji30]

Keep following the plan and be patient. Easier said than done for sure! Every time I stall I convince myself I am done losing weight and I get so upset. Inevitably, the weight-loss begins again and I'm a happy camper until the next stall. STALLS are part of the process. May as well get use to them. 3 weeks out is an infamous stall that you will see everyone talking about on here. Oh the dreaded 3 week stall. I hit it, I'd say, 80% of people on here have hit that one. It is the toughest because it is most often the first stall. Congrats on your new surgery! Good luck to you. Don't stress. Doctor has a lawsuit

If he is allowed to continue practicing, i wouldn't be too concerned. Doctors get sued all the time. That is why their malpractice insurance cost most than some people make a year! Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

    Boobs! [emoji523]

Mine are deflating as we speak. I started at a DD and refuse to buy new bras as of yet because, well lets face it, if you don't want pointy or weird shaped boobs, bras are EXPENSIVE! So I'm wearing the same pre op sized bras and my poor boobs are lost in there. (It is probably time to bra shop) I plan to get the re-inflated once I reach my goal. I think it depends on who you are, how you are shaped etc. maybe you won't lose a single cup. Maybe you will.....tbd Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

She was trying to educate you and anyone else who sees this because you were giving out inaccurate information.Well there is a nice way to do it and a condescending way to do it. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App I swear, @Gustavio....you have a serious habit of poking at certain vets on this board and if you run them off before I get through this surgery and get to my 5 year mark, I'm gonna be very, very irritated. I NEED them. You don't seem to realize that you may need them, too.Lol whaaatttt? I just don't like the cattiness that some display to newbies. It is unnecessary and I've seen waaaay more people offended by them than by me. Coincidentally, the only ones offended are them. Hmm. So if anyone is running anyone off, it is "them". No need to worry, they won't be run off. They live for the drama they create, my dear. Not to mention, there are MANY MANY vets on here way more helpful and supportive than that handful that you seem to so desperately seek the approval of. Me on the other hand? I'm good without the "click". I don't have a burning desire to be accepted into the not so "in" crowd. And for the record, most are blocked so I don't have to read their negativity. I was once the newbie being ganged up on for what they deemed "a dumb question or choice" so if I want to stand up for another, so be it. Oh, and if you don't like that-so be it. I'm on here to be supportive and accept support from the others who have been there and done that. But don't need rudeness or condescending remarks. Why does this make me a bad guy? 19. Oh come on y'all, he is a father that doesn't want his daughter to have surgery. He is worried. That is a constant state of mind from the day your kids are born. It doesn't stop when they are adults. He is grasping at straws to try and get his point across and hasn't been as educated on the surgery as we have. It's his job to be concerned and care. It's his job to have an opinion. I think it's sweet. I think he sounds like a great father. No need to bash his intelligence or post hateful things. How could anyone read this and see anything other than a concerned dad. For someone who has lost her father, this melted my heart because it reminded me of how my dad would have been. I would NEVER have told him to "F$&@ off" as someone suggested. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  20. I think it is sooooo sweet that your dad is so concerned. I love it. However, you are doing this for long term health reasons. With a BMI of 40, the odds of losing the weight and keeping it off on your own are slim. The advantage we have is that we know those are all risks so we KNOW what to watch for and how to prevent it. Most of the complications are ones we create by not following the doctors orders. The odds of actual medical complications are very slim and getting slimmer as the medical world is progressing every day. Maybe take your dad with you to speak with your doctor to put his mind at ease??? Good luck and bless your dads little heart ❤️ Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

    Gallbladder food

I ate normally after gallbladder surgery. Had no issues. Although when I ate not so normal and highly fatty foods or fast foods, I needed a bathroom right away. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

    Being cold is getting old!

I wonder why this is.....i was always the one hot and sweating. Always had my thermostat set at 66 at work and home. Now my work one is set at 74 and I still complain that it is too cold. Others in my office would kill me if I turn it up more. Anyone know the reason? I have no suggestions, other than to take a blanket. Which is what I do. Lol. I am just curious. Oh and it's been in the 30's and 40's where I live. It's almost UNBEARABLE to go outside. I rarely wore a a coat in the past. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
