hiya seattle girl, i too am in the city and getting banded on the 25th of march, going to mexico as i am a self pay, i think that if you respect and take care of yourself pre and post op, you will minimize your risk of complications. Look forward to hearing all about everyone's experiences, and getting to share mine.

i have to tell you, i think that your issue is coming from the meal replacement drink, those can be pretty hard on people who do not normally use them, they cause the gassy discomfort you are speaking of, either try a different brand, or sub in something else in place of it.
