  1. Sometimes I have problems with people communicating with me also. But I think they don't know what to say to me. I went to a party two weeks ago and I have lost 55 lbs since everyone has seen me last. Not one person made a comment on me losing weight. It wasn't just the surgery that made me lose weight but it's me also keeping two healthy foods and less food. Everybody thinks it's just the surgery. The surgery gave me the totals it's up to me to use them. It's really strange I feel like someone should talk to me about my surgery and no one does. And sometimes I take it is if they don't care. I think they just don't know how to act around me. Sometimes I feel like a freak but I know I'm not. I just have to go on in life and be happy with who I am and what I am and put all those negative people behind me. Praying for you to have a better outlook and thank positive about yourself

  2. My program says that a typical stay for VSG is 2-3 days. Can I wear anything other than the gown while I'm in the hospital? Baggy sweatpants, robe or anything? I assume they'll want to check my incisions & maybe an IV? So nothing crazy- I'm just always freezing and want to be comfy.

I wore just a hospital gown and then when I was ready to come home I changed into my gown when I was going to wear at home and came home with my gown and robe on. I was in the hospital for a day and a half. VSG surgery. They check your belly all the time and you want to be very comfortable. She don't worry about bringing any clothes just go him in your nightgown. Gods blessings!!

  3. I had my sleeve surgery on February 22 nd. I think I'm doing pretty well, I have not got nauseated or throwing up which is a plus. Still drinking my liquids until Thursday then I start my puréed food. I haven't really been craving anything which is great. Have any of you heard of Unjury it's Protein Drinks and Soups. So far I have tried the chocolate one that they gave me three different samples at the hospital. They do have a website to order off of which is Unjury.com look with the forward in trying a couple more items. The Protein is really good Count. I think the worst time that I had was getting up off the toilet. So I had a walker that I put it where I could pull it over and I adjusted it low so I could get up without a lot of pain. Today is day five I think I am doing well less pain today. PRAISE GOD!!

  4. I've read a lot about sleeved surgery please don't be discouraged. Just stay faithful to your plans and u will see the wt come off. I got sleeved weds feb 22. Today. The nurse weighed me and I gained 2 pounds. Which did not surprise me for all of the other sleeved people and gastrectomy people that I have read about. I think the main goal is to stay focused and you will see the weight coming off eventually it's just gonna take a little bit of time. Patients please

  5. No carbonated drinks, they're trying to shrink your liver and to give them space in your belly to do laparoscopic. And afterwards you could not drink anything carbonated for a long time because the carbonation will make your stomach get gas in it and it'll make your stomach expand making you able to eat more in the future. Plus the carbonation can eat at your incision inside and cause you to have complications. Definitely not worth it
