  1. I just saw Dr. Balette for my preop visit. He patiently answered all my questions. I'm getting excited for my surgery Dec 14th. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  2. I totally understand loving food and drink and the socialization aspects, but I'm really surprised you were approved for surgery with those plans. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  3. I'm not worried about making a mess. I'm worried that something isn't right with my system and it might not be a good idea to shock it with such a drastic change before we know what's wrong. I'm sure the surgeon will take it under consideration, but I've emailed my gastro and PCP for their input. I want the most positive experience possible. Thanks. I'll just see what happens Thursday. 4. There is a support group for folks from the UK. At the main page of the gastric sleeve forum, go to the support groups. From there go to social groups. It's on the bottom. From there you will see different groups. One is UK. GOOD Luck! Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  5. My surgery is set for next Wednesday (Dec. 14th). For over two months I have had chronic diarrhea. I've been to a gastro doctor, and had an endoscope. A colonoscopy was recent enough that he didn't think it needed to be done. I see my surgeon Thursday. I'm wondering if this situation is going to hold up the surgery. What do you think? 6. Mine is Dec 14. I haven't been super excited or worried. Anyone else like that? Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  7. She was out of line to not only give her opinion, but try to talk you out of it with questionable information. Your PCP would be very upset to hear this, especially since he, in his expertise, has encouraged you to do this. I would definitely share the conversation, just as a concern you have. He would want to know. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  8. How large are the Patches. Imagining three of them covering one arm Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  9. The doctor's office had not sent in the final surgery date. (My doc has rearranged his staff, and this is not the first time the new nurse has dropped the ball.) All is well now, and surgery date is still Dec. 14th. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  10. My surgery is set for Dec 14th, or so I thought. I received a letter from Aetna today that lists the service dates for the procedure as 3/16/17 - 3/16/17. Is this the deadline for the surgery date or the date they expect me to have surgery? Notice the admission date at the top left is also 3/16/17. Hope someone can help.
