I was on liquids for 2 weeks and I was starving, and had the same theory as you "did the doc cut enough of my stomach" invest in sugar free ice pops

Ok thanks I only ask cause I'm afraid about over eating and throwing up, before I knew when I was full just afraid I'll miss the signsMashed potatoes slide right through. They won't fill you up

So I am 2 weeks post op and I'm on puree foods so I had a 1/2 cup of mashed potatoes, I had them and they were delicious but I ate them and don't feel full really? Is this normal

Call your insurance and ask, my insurance company didn't offer gastric sleeve (bariactric surgery) even though I am obese it just wasn't part of my plan, I ended up going on my wife's insurance and they covered it

Agreed, watching commercials are like watching Cinemax now, it will be better when I can have something other than Protein drinks and Water

Agree I hope I don't have to take them anymoreI had my surgery April 5 and am still on blood pressure medicine. I have lost just under 75 lbs and my Dr. has adjusted my medication since losing weight. I am definitely in the normal range (112/68) now and when I go back to my PC Dr. in October I will probably not have to take it anymore. I look forward to the day I don't have to take it anymore.

Hey everyone I am a week and a half post op and I always been on blood pressure medication, my question is how long did it take you to get off it from when you had surgery?

I am 6 days post op and today when I was moving I had a little pain under my left incision scar, I noticed when I bend over I can feel tightness not really pain? From what I read if I pulled out a internal stitch I would know it, has anyone else experience this? I plan on calling my team tomorrow just asking

My question is I am on my 2 week post op liquid diet until I get to mushie foods, do you gain weight when moving to mushie/regular foods? I'm just curious cause right now I'm getting 1 1/2 to 2 Protein Shakes in a day so going from that regular food you must gain a little weight?
-
I'm with you I'm 4 days post op and already looking into what I'm going to eat when I can have mushie foodOMG I'm only on day 2 of my 10 day pre-op and already wanting to give in.. This blog keeps me motivated ...

Thank you so much!Hi. I'm an August 22 too! Don't stress - you are going to be fine. I always get a little nervous during the waiting/prep for surgery - for me that's the worst part - so I just tell the anesthesiologist and they make all the worries go away lol
Im pretty sure that once we are back on solid food there is pretty much always something for us to eat as long as we have our Protein. I did south beach for like three years and my feeling is that it is probably similar except with much smaller potions.
So when you plan your meals - or when you are out - just focus on Protein first and enjoy the conversation and time out with people!
We are going to be fine.... Good luck!
