I ate eggs 3 weeks out and threw up. I was going to try again, but now just looking at them makes me sick. I used to love eggs

I felt the same and at 372 and 42 years old I thought I was crazy for not being able to do it on my own. I promise you that having it done is worth it. I feel free of food for the first time in my life! And losing the weight is easier than it was before.
It's scary and a big decision, but it is worth it to be healthy and to hopefully live another 40.

Tiffgetnthin got a reaction from MSer07 in Pictures are not helping
I am almost 8 weeks out from surgery, my HW was 372, SW 356, CW 320. I have a Pre op pic and a 7 week pic that I took to journal my journey. I can look in the mirror and see that I am slimming down...and my clothes are loose, but the pictures I have taken look no different to me.
Is this normal? Is there a trick about what to wear in the pics? Will this change for me at some point?
I just want to have that moment when I don't want to delete the photo after I take it
Thank you in advance for your insight and advice

I was lucky, I had a coworker join the gym with me and I for a trainer 1 day a week. Having to meet someone there makes the difference for me.
I started slow on the treadmill and lifting a little weight. Now I can walk faster on the treadmill and have already gained strength!
I know it is very hard to convince yourself to go, but I promise you it will feel great! I am 4 weeks into the gym and already find myself going by myself if I need to small steps to a lifetime of change!

I was wishy washy too, and all about food! How crazy huh? I mean food got me here and I want to change!
I talked to my surgeon about it and he made me feel better. He told me this surgery isn't about never having pizza again, or sushi, it was about helping to change habits and my health. He explained that I can have pizza, but 1 slice instead of a whole large. ... it clicked! I realized that healthy was better than overeating.

Here's some of the dumb questions you get pre-op...
    - now, you do know that this is not a magic procedure, it's just a tool, and it will require a lifestyle change (duh, cutting 80% of my stomach is a major freaking change ????)
    - what made you choose the sleeve? Someone I know that had it gained all their weight back. You should do the bypass (as if it's impossible to gain weight back with the bypass ????)
    - I would only do this if it were my last resort (being fat your whole life and wanting to experience a normal life with no health issues before it's almost over, in my opinion, is the last resort)
People are so judgmental of things that are unfamiliar to them. When I talk to people who are well informed about the surgery, they usually congratulate me for the decision and tell me I will have no regrets as long as I follow my doctors orders/diet.

"But you're so young! You could have just exercised and ate less..." Yes because I should have waited another 10, 20, 30 years of unhappiness and hating life until I decided to make a change... of course! Exercise and eat less, well holy hell there's a new concept I NEVER tried before!
"You're going to gain ALL your weight back because I know 1 person who did!"

You are so beautiful! Don't let ANYONE label you as anything! I think all of us going through this struggle need to just be happy with who we were and who we are. Screw the people that don't understand, and love the people who have not started the journey and struggle every day.

I felt that way when I tried to eat eggs and got sick. I am 5 weeks out and dying to chew! I switched my Vitamins and Calcium to chewable and that helped! I got them from my doctors office, and the calcium is caramel flavored...it helps throw something different into my liquid diet
