  1. I think we have all done awesome in one year. Yeah, I think 5lbs a month is a good goal. That is what I was doing until March and now it is up three down three. I admit I am eating more.
  2. Good Morning Butterflies! We only have a couple of more days till July. The 16th is my bandiversary. What is yours? Are you at goal or do you have more to lose? I need to lose 80lb.
  3. Julie, hang in there! You had a major setback in your health. You body is still healing.
  4. Yeah, Janet, Lupus is a mostly girl issue, but his mother had Lupus and Leukemia. So, he is just checking for that.....and rheumatoid arthritis. I still feel like it is just an anitbody issue and can be fixed. Girl, I get a fill on Monday and I hope they will give me back the .5cc they took out in April. I don't have any restriction. I don't want to start gaining weight. Y'all have a great weekend!
  5. Thoughts and prayers going your way! I wish you a speedy recovery.
  6. Janet........checking in. DH went to the blood doctor today. The doctor said it may be a genetic thing. He is testing him for lupus too, but doubts that is the problem. He feels sure he can give him medication before the surgery that will prevent him from clotting or bleeding too much. We should find out something next week and then he can schedule another surgery date.
  7. Kimaly, that is true. I have a very sensitive digestive system due to all the adhesions and colon surgeries. Looking back, had i known it took so long to reach a "sweet spot" I may have opted for a sleeve. I just didn't want to pay for it. Oh well, I will just work with this band. I have lost almost 50% of my excess weight so I guess I am normal for the first year. I am pleased.
  8. Welcome! LBT will give you a lot of information to help you make a decision. Ask Away!
  9. Me too! Confused I mean. I never heard of putting 3cc at one fill. I think you better change fill clinics. The most I ever had put in was .5cc and some of that had to be taken out. Joiful, what is your total weight loss since banding?
  10. Great2BThin, I'll just call you Great............I like it!
  11. Pj, just google Goodwill. They should have one near you. Hubby is going to the blood doctor on thursday. It may be just a genetic thing. His mother had a blood clotting disorder. Hey, your my friend on facebook! Remember, we are Farmtown friends. Yes, it is HOT in Texas.........too HOT!
  12. Long..........perfect......LongNoMore!
  13. Apples, a belated Happy Bandiversary! I wish I lived up there so we could hang out. I think I would love hanging out with all my LBT Buddies. Have a great long weekend at the lake. It is too hot to get out down here. It has been 100 everyday with no let up in site. Long, I have wanted to go shopping at Goodwill. We have a new one nearby. I will give it a try. First, I need to shed a few more lbs. By the way, Congrats! on your new goal weight.
  14. Kimaly, I have 5.2cc right now. I had and unfill in April and go next Monday for a fill. Boy, do I need one. I can eat just about anything. I haven't gained, but I am close to going off track. Joiful, I hope you find a sweet spot. Sounds like you are getting some sound advice from the other butterflies. I had to get an unfill because I had pb'd so much the tissue was swollen around the band. Just remember to eat slow and eat small bites. Chew! chew! chew!
  15. Laura...........your story just gave me chills. What a miracle!
  16. Janet.........checking in...........need a fill........getting one on the 29th. I have had a monster cold. I can't stop coughing. Hey, you got me hooked on Farmtown, and now I can't stop. Ah, QVC, I just love their stuff. I just bought a new white leather purse from there. July Butterfly thread bandsters are adding up the weight we have lost in the last year. So far, over 400lbs and counting. Hard to believe it has been a year.
  17. I have had 9 fills and 2 unfills. I am scheduled for a fill next week. I am so sorry you have had so many problems. The band is only a tool that helps. You have to change eating habits for success. You might benefit from going to weight watchers or get a nutritionist to help with your eating. I too, have not mastered good eating habits. I eat less, but i still eat slider foods.
  18. Okay, July Butterflies........come add your loss! 221lb loss + =
  19. Kimaly + crzytchr + Charlene 70 + 81 + 70 = 221lbs lost!!!!!!!!!!!
  20. Long, DH goes to the blood specialist next thursday. Then after a diagnosis he should be able to get another surgery date. I think it will be late July or August. Dr. Davis is booked, but he said he would give him priority.
  21. CONGRATULATIONS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  22. Awesome weight loss! Congrats!
  23. Awesome weight loss! It is going to be alot to celebrate in July! I don't think DH will get a surgery date till August. His appt with the blood dr is next week. Then the tests....then the diagnosis. So, I am thinking late summer. He lost 14lbs the last two weeks on the liquid diet. Now, he has to do it again. Oh well, it all has to come off. He needs to lose a hundred lbs. Less than two weeks till July...........hard to believe it has been a year. I am not counting my year long weight loss till the end of July even though my date is the 16th.
  24. Checking in..........DH's surgery was canceled. He had some high levels concerning his blood clotting. This should have been caught before he was prepped for surgery. The Doctor was upset. Anyway, he has to go to a blood specialist and find out the cause of his blood levels being high. Dr. Davis said once he gets the report he can give him some medicine to control the problem he can have surgery. I hope this thread keeps going.
  25. Oh, yes, the doctor called his office and questioned why he had not received the results before today. He told them he wanted to know if it was his office or the hospital. He has moved to a different hospital. Somebody's head is going to roll. Now, we are probably going to get stuck with a hospital bill.....at least they will try to stick it to us. DH's mother had several blood disorders, and one was clotting. The doctor said that is hereditary. I feel sure we will get some answers from the blood doctor, and he will get the surgery . So, now we are going out to eat chicken fajitas. I have a cold and not much of an appetite, but DH is starving. I will keep y'all updated.
