I'm here to help...
My DH and I just celebrated our 40th. Yes, it is painful. She a very beautiful girl and has never experienced rejection other than her mother dying and her father a drug addict........and there lies her problem. She has always played the victim in relationships, but she has done a lot of victimizing. The one hope is she is in counseling with her man. I am staying away and hope that she works out her issues. The beauty of having five kids..........is just enjoy the ones who want to be around you. The others will wake up one day. They know what is right.

Well, it is just dysfunctional. I initiate calls, shopping.....all those friendship things, but two years ago she went online and got into that second life. Now, I am an irritation to her if she is online. She transfered her weight problem to the virtual world. Now, she says we are going somewhere and cancels at the last moment. She needs professional help and won't go get it. I haven't called her in days. She is going to have to realize her own problems and work on them. My other problem is my adopted daughter. She has been divorced for five years. She had a 16th birthday party for my GD, but only invited her brother(my adopted son). When she found out I knew about it, she text me an hour before the party and invited me. I did not go. My DD said she didn't to pity invites. So, we went to the movies. Yes, I am hurt, but I have to realize I am not priority. So, she is getting knocked of the list of priorities. That may mean my GD might not get a down payment for her car, but, hey, she called the shots. This is so hard for me because I have always been a people pleaser........I am working on it. On a health issue.....this medicine I am on is causing my pulse to run in the 90's. I don't think that is normal. I am going to call the doctor and let her know. Thanks for asking. It really helps to talk about my issues even though they are minor.

Apples, this is a comment I read on this quote and it is so true. "Don't make someone a priority in your life when you are only an option in theirs". Quote Comment I read online: This is one of my favorite quotes. Take a good look at the people in your life…family, friends, co-workers, significant others, etc. Stop making excuses for poor behavior, don’t accept less than what you deserve, and weed out the ones who only care about their own needs being met. As my friend Patricia says, “A relationship should complement, not complicate.” What a difference it makes when you’re surrounded by only those who bring out the best in you. How sad that I am now all alone…HA! Apples, don't you think relationships contribute so much to our our recovery?

Well, it is slow going, but it is going. I started back walking.....temp is getting up to 70 today. It is just hard keeping my food down to 1200c a day. I need a slight fill, but the Doctor's office said they would call me back for an appt. and no call back. They just moved into their new clinic and the receptionist sounded stressed out. I am going to a support group meeting there tonight. A friend of mine is having bypass in March and needs the support. It won't hurt me either. I am really having a hard time keeping my resolution of weaning myself off of relationships that are toxic. You know the quote "Don't make someone a priority in your life if you are only and option in theirs", well, I am trying to make adjustments and live by that. It is tough for me because I am an enabler. At least I have recognized the task at hand. Thank God my DD keeps reminding me. So, one down, and two more to go.

Sounds like you had an awesome b-day. I called to get an appt with my wl dr today, but the receptionist took my number and said she would call back......no call back. So, if she puts me off tomorrow I am asking to speak to the dr. I need a check up and so does my DH. Hopefully, we will get in next month. Trying to keep my intake to 1200 is tough. I did increase my water and I lost another lb. I also walked today. I have the wii fit....need to get on it. I sound like a broken record. Okay, later butterflies!

Happy Birthday Melissa(one day) ! I hope you had a good one! How's the wl going? Me, not good this weekend. DH brought sweets home yesterday and we were like two alcoholics. We ate them till they were gone. Then I went to see It's Complicated today, and yes, ate some Whoppers. What is wrong with me? By the way, the movie is really funny.

I think it is a extension to the board. I don't know much about the wii except for the few games I have played with the grandkids. My mother couldn't talk to me the other day because she is on a wii bowling team at the retirement home....that is so funny. I did not exercise today or walk. The weather is horrible.....it's coming girls!

Julie, I am sorry, but I forgot what is causing all your pain. I sure wish you could get some relief. I know somewhat how you feel. I am so glad this SNRI is helping me. I was getting depressed thinking this was going to be for life. Take care! I know people that drink small amounts of soda without problems. I don't think I could do it. I went to Chili's a couple of weeks ago and had a small amount of Raspberry Tea. I think it must have had carbonation in it because I pb'd on my food. I think I had gas in my pouch.

Yummy! I bought French Vanilla too. I will try the sf choc with the french vanilla....well, hazelnut would be good too. Actually, my DH has a capaccino (sp) machine and keeps sf choc syrup by the half gallon. He buys it online and girl, it is good stuff. We also have about 8-10 sf Torani syrups for coffees. I just forget about them because I don't like to steam my milk. Takes too much time.

Oh I could play with protestant kids.....I just could not go to church with them or I would go to hell. I married a protestant, found Jesus in a protestant church......busted that myth all to hell. OKay, we better get back on track. I just found sugar free Hazelnut cream at the grocery store. I think it is by International. YUM!...and don't tell me it is Bad! I just fiixed a cup of cofee with cream.

We had two classes that were taught by laic ppl. Third grade and sixth grade. With going to church every morning at 8am, we were requried to wear a veil. The most traumatic school year incident for me was forgetting my veil on day when I was in third grade. Mrs. Campion just reach up her sleeve, pulled out a USED wadded up Kleenex and bobby pinned it to my head. I cried the entire mass. Then after mass I had to kneel in the corner of the classroom for an hour and read the bible OUT LOUD. I was devastated. Everything they did back then was shame based. VerticalSleeveTalk Click to visit the largest Vertical Sleeve community online! __________________ Yeah, that was the place to learn shame and low self esteem. Apples, that is funny. My shame was I was sick for a few days. Sister Burkman( had taught in a boys military school) checked my desk and glue had leaked out of my cigar box (remember them?). So everyday she would ask where the messy girl was....when I returned back to school she shamed me in front of the class. I wonder if she went to heaven?

Apples - we have so very much in common - I went to Catholic school from 2nd grade to 7th grade (didn't get invited back for my 8th grade year) We went to church every friday more in school :0) that's where we were when we got the word that JFK died.. My school had a mix of nuns and lay teachers - our nuns were pretty nice - well execpt for the principal - but nothing like the horror stories about catholic schools and gotta say when I went to public school - I was more advanced than them.. We can compare stories in FL ;0) Janet, I went to Catholic school for eight years too. Yep, I had the nun that threw the erasers and chalk at you if you were talking......Or make you go to confession if you pissed her off. I went to mass every school day. I even wanted to be a nun. I thought they were so holy....the nice ones. That notion faded when I went to public school. I had cream of wheat for breakfast.....then Tilapia for lunch.

Julie...hope you got at least some sleep. I did. Felt good. Been up for a couple of hours but DH just got up. I love it when he can sleep in. Have steel cut oats on the stove. Made the entire bag this morning so I can throw some in the freezer. I ate some yesterday but was full for too long. Think I am going to have to leave them alone. I get too full and cannot get cals in. Apples, I did not know you could cook steel cut oats and freeze them. How long do they last?

Oh, I did eat pretzels.....and too many. The weather is horrible here so no walking. I know, I need to exercise !

They either reached goal and don't need help or they found another source of support. My doctor said to eat 800 calories the first year and I didn't do it......hence I am only half way through to goal. He also told me I really needed bypass, but I was not a good candidate. Maybe our butterflies will check in and see we are still together. Okay, today I ate Fiber/protein bar, chicken, 4oz roast.....tried to eat more, but I have IBS tonight and my band is tight.
