fibromyalgia
I have been on Savella for almost 10 days. I got up to 50mg a day and my pulse was so high while my bp was very low. So, I cut back to 25mg and the pain has subsided . Also, my pulse is almost normal and my bp is just a little low. I hope I can keep taking this stuff because it is so nice not to hurt. We have very cold weather here....24 in the morning and 45 in the afternoon. It starts raining on Tuesday so that should be a test to see if the Savella helps the IBS. I get IBS when the weather changes. I think the reason people get sick on Savella is they start off taking too much. I also read that it cause a bad reaction when mixed with a SSRI.

I never pounded the chicken breast flat, but I have made chicken that way. This bread we are talking about is like flatbread. I can only eat half a slice or I will get stuck. I can eat croutons or garlic bread if it is really toasted good. but I don't need the calories. I started over. I am back to my old avatar and I don't have a ticker. Protein shake tomorrow.

I bought the stuff for the pizza's , but I haven't made them. Gonna do it this week. Yeah, I am disgusted with my no losing and I did gain at Christmas. I am going to do some protein shakes instead of meals. Probably will do them for breakfast or lunch. I just have to eat a meal in the evening.

How's it going crz? I am in a slump . I started this new medication and my bp is low and pulse is high. I cut the dose yesterday and that might be what I needed. It sure helps with the pain. Anyway, my weight loss is in the crapper! I have not given up though. I think I might do some protein shakes for a quick start. Sure, wish it would warm up so I could get back to walking. Oh, Earth Grains is making thin buns. They are bigger than the Sandwich thins and still only a hundred calories. I am gonna use them for mini pizzas. Toast them, pizza sauce and some cheese. Ought to be good and low in calories.

Hey 50 & over gang We have a new spot
If you want to eat a sandwich try Sandwich Thins by Orowheat (100calories) or Thin Buns by Earth Grains (100 calories). Both of them are like a flatbread. I have to toast them and they make a good grilled cheese sandwich.

You know the grass is greener on the other side theory.......for some freakin reason Texas kids think that if it snowed they would have a great winter. We don't want to burst their bubble.

Oh Apples, our city has gone crazy.......today is Winterfest and the city has bought tons of snow for the kids. lol

That is what I take. It is a good old bp med that has worked for me. It keeps my bp down around 120/80. The adverse side effect of this new med is low or high bp and heart palpitations. I am over the palpitations, but I have been taking my bp several times a day, and it just gets lower every time I check. I think there is an answer in the dosage. If I ever get the rest of my weight down I will stop with the elastic. I am really down over my weight loss.....and it is my fault. I get so distracted. If I quit the support I think I would would completely fall off the wagon.

Janet, I will see if I can get in on Monday. I have been on bp for twenty years. This is a SNRI .....kind of an antidepressant. I have never been able to take SSRI's . Thanks for the QVC info. I love Denim and Co. They are so true to size.

Well, I think I need to stop this medicine for fibromyalgia. It takes care of the pain, but my bp was 75/50 last night and my pulse was 88. I take bp medicine for hypertension and thyroid medicine. The doctors office did not call me back so I will try to go in. I just hate going back to aching again. It is 24 and sunny today. I may just have to go for a walk when it warms up.

Awww, Janet, I DO have sympathy for you whimpy "fair weather" peeps.:tt1: Heck, my own strapping 250lb son turned down a free airline tickets to fly home cuz "It's just too cold in MN and there's nothing to do". And, this is a kid that lived in Alaska for two years. You are correct...it's all what you are accustomed to. Whimpster here.......thanks for the sympathy. I did get out this morning and finally bought steel cut oats. I am going to cook them in the morning. It is the battle of the thermostat around here. Now that DH has lost 80lbs he wants the temp at 73 and I want it on 71. We do agree to put it on 69 at night. It will probably be in the 70's next week and the battle will end. I hope all of you stay warm this weekend. arlene

Lori, sounds like you have a lot on your plate.....and I don't mean food. Just take it one day at a time. Linda, those books sound awesome.......especially the book that takes place during the WWII era. Let me know if it is published. My grandson would love to read it. Me too.....I am a thigh person, but I have to cook breasts for DH. For some reason every time I eat chicken breast or salmon I get stuck.

fibromyalgia
Taz, that's great. The Savella is working for me except now my pulse is between 80-90. I called the pharmacist today and she said it was a side effect and may go away. She said to call the doctor. I guess I will do that tomorrow, but I don't want to quit taking it because this was a pain free ....IBS free day and there is a cold front moving in......suppose to be in the teen's and twenties for days.

Great.......oops......I read the post wrong. Yeah, I like the candy bar too. All my kids got married before the candy bar was "in". I guess my daughter may have one, but I kinda think this wedding is country. She is getting married at some ranch in a small town.

Great........love,love,love that dress. Why are you buying candy bars at the store? Have you priced them online with their names on them. Some of those sites are pretty reasonable. my daughter is getting married again. She is 38 and this time it is her dime. I just want an invite and show up. Her youngest is going to be 16 next week and we are helping her buy a car.....what's wrong with this picture? You would think she would help her daughter too. Oh well, we are committed. We did it for her sister. Apples.........Brrrrrrrrr!!!!!!! I dread that front tonight. I don't know how you stand it. Great...you too! and all of you North of Dallas. I went out and bought food for a few days. You would think a hurricane was coming. I do not plan to get out. I took my ticker down. I am not putting it back till I lose some more weight. So far this medicine has curbed my pain, but now my pulse is running 80-90. Kinda concerned. I guess I need to call the doctor. Laura, I don't go up in the attic either. A friend of mine fell off the stairs putting up Christmas decorations and really hurt her back. I just get my grandkids to help me.

I know that's right. We can handle Hurricanes, but let us have sustained cold weather we wimp out. Yep, teens and 20's predicted for Thursday thru Sunday. Well, maybe this cold weather will speed up our metabolisms.

Yeah, I know what you mean. The holidays derailed my journey, journaling, measuring, exercising.......and this cold weather hasn't helped. Texas is usually 50-70degrees this time of year. We are going to be in the 20's this weekend. Walking is not an option. I guess I will have to break out the indoor exercise crap I have bought over the past years. Lets see.....I have a bicycle, bands, weights, wii, dvds, oh I forgot.....I bought one of those chairs with the exercise cords for stretching........oh and that doesn't count the stuff my DH has. No excuses here! I am going to take my ticker down till it starts moving!

Linda, I had those walking dvds...in fact that is how I herniated two disks. I was walking in place and suddenly something snapped and both of my legs went like jelly. Another hazzard of being obese and exercising. That is one of the reasons I started inquiring about the band. I knew my back could not hold the weight any longer. Oh, don't be jealous about the g-babies. You never know when one will be in the oven. I wasn't expecting this one so soon, but my daughter is 33 and wants to have her's two years apart. She plans on staying home for a few more years.

Apples, how do you stand to get out in that cold weather? I babysat today and then made a chicken pot pie. I took a bite of it .....not bad. I took it to my daughter and neighbor. It is in the forties , but so cold. OH, I am going to be Grandma again. My daughter is pregnant......the one who had back surgery. This will be 10 grands from five kids......I think we are done!
