Happy Badiversary to All!!! I have completed all my tests for insurance approval of a revision to a sleeve. Meanwhile, I am still eating plenty of protein and exercising. The eating plan is the same only less food. I am on the same journey....just another tool.

Wow, so young for heart disease....sounds like you may win this one.WTG! My cousins family have heart attacks in their thirties and forties. Out of seven kids four have had heart attacks and one died at 35. Do you go to a cardiologist? I have my nutrition appt tomorrow. Then I will go to the psychiatrist thursday. So many hoops to jump through for approval, and then I may not be approved.

Czrythr, I am so sorry for your loss. It must have been hard to see her suffer with such a horrible disease. I am glad you haven't gained much. ihave gained a lot of what I lost on the liquid diet. I went to see Dr Davis last week. He said because of my low metabolism I have lost all I am going to lose with the band. I am now in the process of getting approval for a sleeve. I have to have an endoscopy, a stress test, see a dietitian, and see a psychiatrist. No guarantees they will approve, but I do mee the criteria. I have a 40bmi, lost less than half the excess weight, and I still take Bp meds. So, wen will see.

Me too! I don't find this thread unless someone posts. I have gained 15lbs. I had a cortisone shot for "trigger finger" in January and I started gaining. Ugh! I went and got a fill....really a tweak last thursday. I do have some restriction, but I am looking into getting a revision to a sleeve. I still need to lose 75-80lbs. I called my insurance and they now pay for a revision if I meet the criteria. We will see. I have an appt with Dr. Davis next month. Kimaly.......glad you quit smoking. I know it was tough, but you will feel so much better. Keep in touch! Happy Mother's Day!

Happy Birthday Eva! Jodi, I am so happy you found such a nice man.....he may be a keeper! Linda, I am so sorry for your brothers news. It sounds as though his body is just shutting down. Where does he live? Are you going to go see him? Janet, I am watching an infomercial on how to use Chaz Dean's products. I sure hope it takes the friz out of my hair. It is fine right when I wash, dry , and flatiron it then a few hours later it is frizzy. Melissa, keep us informed on when you have an interview. HUGS! Apples, You are one busy lady again. When are you opening the lake house? It should be soon. HUGS! on trial and tribulation with peeps trying to steal your joy.....we love you! Lori, sounds like this new doctor knows what he is doing. I hope the medication works for you. As for me, going back on pepcid has really helped with the pbing. I should have taken it all along. Ever since I had my gall bladder out in 91 I have had an over acid gut. I don't have the reflux when I sleep.....only when I eat. Crazy! Oh Laura, that must have really hurt Nels. I hope he doesn't stop training with the pro. My DS has gone to several camps with pros and he is on a select team now. The lessons really build confidence. Phyl, glad you checked in. Bummer having to go back to the cold. It is in the high eighties today. Not complaining......just counting my blessing! Julie, good to see you posting again. When is the grandbaby due? Cheri, prayers for Rachel.....Honestly, I do pray for her. I don't say it if I don't do it!

Lori, have you had an MRI on your neck? My DGS had a lump in his neck a couple of years ago. The MRI showed it was an angianoma or something like that. It is a genetic thing and when a cat scratched him it caused the swelling in his neck. It went away on its own without treatment. I would get a second opinion. My DS has Barretts Esophagus from acid reflux. He has to get scoped every two years. He is being scoped in a few weeks. Even though he has lost 100lbs he still has reflux. Both of his parents had reflux. I am sure all the spicey food he eats is not good for it either. Janet, too funny, but you are right.....the packaging is the same for the hair and body wash. I might have to mark mine too. Melissa, I sure hope you get a full time position. It would take a load of worry off of you. HUGS! Cheri, I really believe your DD is gonna beat this. She seems tough like her mama. Prayers and HUGS for you! Eva, I didn't know you sewed. You are so talented! I hope you can post pics of your new cushions. Apples........Love ya bunches! HUGS! Linda.....how is your DB?

Good Morning Gang! Linda, I am glad your DB made it through surgery. How old is he? Praying for him! HUGS for you! Janet, check out QVC today. The pants on special have a lot of control. I think you would like them. I bought a pair of yoga pants last month. The designer really puts a lot of tummy control in her pants. She also has tummy control tanks in different colors. Eva, I forgot.....what are you sewing? Cushion covers? I am getting ready to go for a long walk. I know I need to get back into the gym, but our weather is so nice in the mornings I would rather be outside. Later Peeps! Oh, Meredith and Laura.....you two girls are so beautiful. Thanks for sharing the pics.

I give up replying on the ipad. Eva, I used Miracle Grow soil for vegetables and flowers. It is a miracle my plants are growing so well. Sending your eggplant good juju! Jessica, I was getting dizzy last summer when I walked in the heat. The trainer said that getting that exercising in the heat would caused dizziness if I was on bp meds. I know you weren't exercising, but you might want to go to the doctor and get checked out. I agree with Apples.....I don't think LB causes dumping.

Good Morning Gang! I am still doing boiled eggs for Breakfast. My pup gets the majority of the yolk then I cut up the egg into egg salad. I use a dab of light mayo and it goes down good. I will be eating brisket for lunch. Our church youth are selling brisket sandwiches for a fundraiser. I hope everyone has an awesome Sunday!

Janet, yep, we are having a summer day today. No complaints. My body is doing a Happy Dance! Oh, I got my Chaz Dean.....haven't used it yet, but it smells wonderful. I did get the pomagrante. Lori, I am glad you made it back safely to Utah. I read yesterday that Texas may raise the speed limit in West Texas to 85. I read Utah has a 85 speed limit on some of your roads. I think it is good to go faster on those long stretches of deserted interstates. I hope you weather improves so DH can plant his crops. Didn't he want to plant zucchini? Linda, I am praying for your DB. HUGS! on your pain. Eva, I know going to a new person for eyebrows is scary. I have had some bad experiences. I have one lady I keep going back to because she does so well on my toes, but she just can't get the face right. So, instead of waxing my face I bought some Nair....gonna try it today. I always worry that when I get real old I will have a beard.......that will be the least of my problems. Apples.....where are you? Did I miss something? Phyl......where are you? Laura.....I saw pics on FB of Nels.....cute as always! Laurak and Jodi.....we need the scoop on the new men in your life.......how's it going? Melissa....you better check in....we want to know your are okay. Hello to Kristi, Sndy, Jessica, and Cheri. Oh yes, Meredith ....I hope the vacation is the best! Julie.....just take time to heal. You have all the tools you need to maintain. HUGS! Joyce.....when do you leave...the 24th? Okay peeps, I just got back from my mother's.....she needed groceries. She is also sad because her 103 yr old friend died and her next door neighbor fell and is dying in the hospital. Getting old is not for sissies! Anyway, I need to do some stuff around here. Y'all have a great day!!!

That is good to hear because she is really worried about the pain in her thighs. She has a high pain tolerance so she should be fine. Yeah, I think she is having a real difficult time accepting turning 60. She keeps telling me she wants to get away from her DH. They have been married 43 years. At least she is in counseling. She seems to really like the therapist so I am hoping she will stay with it until she is at peace with herself.

Heck, I missed it. I bet it is on this weekend. I watched the follow up on HEAVY. Yep, the doctor called my friend a "frequent flyer". She swears this is it. I heard that last year. If I could reach goal and I was ten years younger I would get the works. If I got a face lift it would be a lifestyle lift. They don't put you to sleep. Ahhh, a massage......my favorite part of a massage is getting my head massaged. I just want to rent the room and sleep there.

Nope, not tons of money......I think she is addicted to PS. She is the friend that is addicted to staying on the computer gaming all evening....you remember the one that had gastric bypass when I got the band. I think she is a very unhappy person. She has had life style lift ( really needed it), TT and boobs ( needed that too), arms ?, and now lipo. I don't think this is the end. I think she will get her legs done next. Her husband will never get to retire.

Good Afternoon Gang! It has warmed up again so now I have a few more LBS of Fluid. I get so excited when my weight goes down then here comes the humidity and warmth. I like the warm weather, but i can do without the humidity. Anyway, I am still doing the boiled eggs for breakfast and Snacks. I lost five real lbs. The other few must be fluid because they go up and down. I haven't given up though. I just got back from taking my friend to get more PS. This time she is getting her midriff , thighs, and back liposuctioned. I think this will be a harder recovery than the TT and boobs. I think Spanx would have taken care of the problem, but she won't consider it. Whatever. I haven't read all the posts , but I will this eve. I hope everyone has an awesome weekend. Later peeps!

Yes, I am definitely Blessed! I even saw Watermelon at the market today, I love watermelon, but I know it is high in sugar. They also have many varieties of jelly, jam, and salsas. I should have bought some salsa for my veggies. I might have to go back next week. So glad you had a sunny day. I know all of you up north could use some sunshine. Hopefully, you will have a great weekend. I am off to lifegroup. I will check in tomorrow. HUGS!

Linda, liked your letter......only we eat 70-80grams of Protein...not oz. I just got back from Froberg Farms.....the place where I get fresh picked strawberries. I didn't have time to pick them today so I just bought a flat. They had so many fresh veggies. I got cauliflower, cabbage, lettuce, tomatoes, bell pepper, summer squash, zucchini and cucumbers. I wish I had planted cucumbers. They are expensive this year......80cents a piece. I will be cooking tomorrow. WW Soup, WW gumbo, chicken pot pie, and chicken salad. My mother needs some food other than what she eats at her cafeteria. Laura, sounds like so much fun......Pics please! Later peeps!

Melissa, start with your diabetes -- take your readings, eat properly for that -- keep your blood sugar under control and try to do at least 15 mins. of exercise every day -- not a lot just start out little steps -- you can do that -- take a walk around your neighborhood -- that's all -- just baby steps -- then gradually you can start thinking about losing weight again -- but start with doing those things so you feel good -- without controlling your diabetes you aren't going to feel good enough to do anything else. Also I agree -- talk to a minister -- visit some friends -- meet them at a park or somewhere where there's no food/drink (no restaurants or bars -- stay away from that when you are socializing -- try to socialize without eating/drinking). You CAN win this addiction -- trust me - it's a struggle -- not easy -- if it were 600,000 American citizens wouldn't have had bariatric surgery last year - you are not alone - we are here for you. Try to be positive -- think "I WILL, I CAN, I AM" and not "I'll TRY, I'm a failure, etc." I truly believe that any thing we think our brain picks up and reacts to --so if you can put only the positive thoughts in there you will get better results. Melissa, I agree with everything that Linda said. You have to first do it for yourself.....then think of your children. And my age it is always on my mind that I don't want to depend on my kids. Prayers and HUGS! I hope you are enjoying the nice weather we are having. Get out and walk.....soak in some sunshine. We love you bunches!

Janet, Well, yes, Dr Oz did suck at his explanation, but I liked Jodi's doctor. Yeah, I think the girl who put out the teaspoons and the clear Soup was lying or had an eating disorder. No one can live on that. She would have been malnourished. The other girl was more honest. She did say it was a tool and she had worked hard to keep her weight down. I haven't seen many lap band episodes that are pro lap band. Julie, I am so glad you are not having another surgery. My DH has Barretts esophogus which he has to have checked every two years. It can lead to cancer. He takes prevacid. He stopped for awhile then started getting indigestion. I started back on pepcid. I found my over acid stomach was causing my pbing. You have been eating healthy for a long time. Try to stay on a low carb plan. I am so happy you are getting better. I was so worried about you. Now you will be all well for the new grandbaby. Woohoo! Linda, Hugs and prayers for you and your family. LauraK.....how is the dating going? We had a beautiful day! It was sunny and low humidity. My bell pepper plant started making little peppers today and my tomatoes are full of blooms. It's all good!
