I searched this topic because I am having this issue. I discussed with Surgeon, but I'm going to make an appointment to see Chiropractor.

    November RNY surgery buddies

HI. Good hearing from you. I lost around 65 since surgery. I've done a small amount of exercise -I should be walking the track at the park more. I don't get enough water either. I did have one stall and increased my water and that helped - also been eating SF popsicles and SF jello for liquids. I drink Premier Protein daily because I cant eat enough of food protein in - It fills me up and makes me less hungry for food also. I have made a few bad food choices and felt horrible but never have been sick. I'm almost at goal weight, but still cant wear my engagement/wedding rings yet so I hope to loose enough to reach that goal. I was on the MS Coast last month - we went to Mobile Mardi Gras and visited family. Take care.

Boxed sugar free Jello. Make as directed, but instead of adding cold Water and a cold bottle of Isopure.
  7. @WLSResources/ClothingExch A liver cleanse removes toxins. I purchased mine at a health food store. You can google "liver cleanse" for more information.
  8. I had my yearly physical that included an ultra-sound of my organs. I was told my liver was full of fat. I purchased a liver cleanse and I did a liver cleanse several months before my surgery.
  9. This is posted on the website that sells Patches: Please Note: We use Calcium Carbonate and not calcium citrate in our Patches. Calcium Carbonate is absorbed better than Calcium Citrate when used transdermally. The only reason Calcium Citrate is what many surgeons or doctors recommend is that it's the best form of Calcium - when ingested into your digestive system. Our patches bypass the digestive system so there's no benefit of using Calcium Citrate!
  10. @SpiritedOne. I do not know much about them. I am currently using Chewable Centrum as a Multi-Vitamin, but would love to use these Calcium Patches. My Dr. does not recommend any patches though. Many folks here on the forum use them and love them and their blood work has come back fine.
  11. @crazywomanincage @baileymedlin24 I'm 4 1/2 weeks post op and used SMOOTH TEA a couple of times. It works the best for me. I tried Milk of Magnesia (UGHHHH). I'm sticking with drinking the smooth tea every few of nights before bed. I have added benefiber to liquids a few times, but the tea works great... and a Great BIG THANK YOU to who ever posted about Smooth Tea on this forum - your advise was so helpful.
  12. @@SpiritedOne I am not sure if it is true or not. I posted the link above to where this NOTE is stated.

  14. My Surgery is November 16th. I am currently take a multi-Vitamin, but I was thinking of starting the Vitamin Patches. I have a blood test a few days before the surgery and wanted to see where my blood work stood at that time. Also, do you think I could start the Patches sooner than the two week wait period following surgery? I really just don't want to deal with pills or liquid Vitamins. I asked a weigh-in nurse about patches and she wasn't really knowledgeable about them. I will follow up with my Surgeon at next visit with more questions.

    Getting crushed meds down

A couple of ladies on this site suggested to me to try yogurt or sugar free pudding. I have been using the yogurt and haven't tried the SF pudding yet.

    Protein

I drink Water first thing when I wake up. I drink a Premier in the Morning through lunch time. I add Powdered Protein to SF Pudding/Broth/Yogurt/etc. I start drinking about half an Isopure in the afternoon. I then drink another Premier from dinner to bed time. Lots of water in between drinking the protein drinks. If you like jello - make a box of the sugar free. Instead of adding the cold water add a cold Isopure. Example - Grape jello + Grape Isopure.

I'm almost 2 weeks post-op. The Ursodiol and my Blood Pressure medicine taste awful.
  22. I use the Biotene toothpaste and mouth rinse before bed to help dry mouth. I still use my regular toothpaste in the AM and during the day.
  23. Stepping on the scale and being almost 250 lbs.
