One week post op and I havent lost any weight yet? I have only been eating three 2 oz meals a day (full liquid diet) and 2 premier Protein shakes a day. Should I be concerned? Or am I expecting too much too soon? Please help!

My date is set for 8/25/2016. Am hoping to find a mentor who can guide me thru the ropes. I have done a lot of research, however I would love to have to guidance of a pro. I mean who better to talk to and ask questions of than someone who has already been successful.
Let me know if you want to chat.

My pre-op appt was 2 days ago, Friday. My NUT and my surgeon reiterated the importance of the 30/30/30 rule for life. My surgeon even went so far as to show diagrams and explain the mechanics of why I should never drink 30 minutes before eating, not drink for 30 minutes while I'm eating, then nothing to drink 30 minutes after eating. (1-1/2 hours of not drinking around each meal... seriously dude?)
I guess I was hoping they would change their minds on this rule because its a really tough one for me to follow.
When I left the office, I went straight to Kohls, with my 30% off coupon, and purchased a watch with a timer. I've been practicing this rule.
Hahahahahaha!
Ok.
I can't do it.
YET.
But I will by golly!
I know you vets can be trouble makers, (@LipstickLady) but I need some insight on this. Gimme your thoughts/experiences.
Surely it gets easier?
That time idea is a good one. I think I will have to try it as well. Thanks

12 Days Post Op- Questions about food
in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A

Hello All, I'm 12 days out and other than being tired and having an extremely terrible bout of medication induced Constipation, I have been doing well. I have been drinking 2 Protein shakes a day and three 2oz full liquid meals ( often times broth ). I have a little bit of cottage cheese as well. I haven't had any problems with eating at all so far. Haven't really been hungry to speak of but have yet to feel full at all. I have been reading about food getting stuck, throwing up, etc.... I almost don't feel like anything has been done to my stomach. Am I just fooling myself? Am I in for a shock when i have solid foods? I would really appreciate some input.
Thanks
