but others, even if they incorrectly assess your situation, are equally entitled to their own opinions and just as welcome as you are to express them.
I am sorry you have had a hard time of it. For me, this surgery has given me back my life and I am thankful.

I am 6 days post op and would never dream of eating meat or a taco. I am gonna put this as nicely as I can...Have you lost your mind???
What you can do is cause a rupture of your staple line! That can cause death.
You need to do what your Doctor says and only what he/she says!!

Hello and welcome! I'm a 45 year old male, almost 2 years post op, and I can tell you it is all totally worth it. I was scared too. I thought life would never be the same, and I was right! Everything is better. I am no longer controlled by food. I am no longer afraid to try new things. I enjoy so many more things than I used to. Yes, my diet is boring now. Who cares? There's more to life than pizza and beer! I won't lie, there were rough spots along the way, but they are a distant memory. No worries. You have got this!
