  1. Hey everyone! This may be TMI but I wasn't quite sure what to do, and I wanted to know if any of you have had this issue.

I was sleeved on Monday (yay!), and on Wednesday I had a small BM, but today when I woke up I had diarrhea, and then later in the day (a long time after one nectar Protein Drink and not long after a second), I had it again. I don't believe I am dehydrated, as generally these drinks are in my body long enough, but I do know that it is a risk.

Is it just my body adjusting, the fact that I am using Water based Protein Drinks, or something else? My doctor's office is closed at the moment, so I cannot call them.

    Thanks! =^.^=

  2. Another Georgian! =]

I am new to this process as well (almost on Month 2 of my 90 day diet/exercise thing for Aetna), and I am going through Atlanta Bariatrics with Dr. Johnson. I really like him so far, and his office has been great.

I have Aetna POS II and have my first consultation at Atlanta Bariatrics for Dr Hart on 1/12/17, did they give you a total out of pocket after insurance? My plan is 80/20 I believe.

Hey! I wasn't given a total out of pocket, but I believe my insurance was similar (80/20). Nutritionist appoints are not included in the insurance so each of those were 50 a pop.

But seriously, that practice has been great! I just got sleeves on Monday, and I could not have been happier. :)

  3. So, not Dr. Macik, but I am in Atlanta and my date is December 19th! I'm going through Dr. Johnson with Atlanta Bariatrics. :)

Ok. I would like to keep in touch with everyone that's in the area. Have you started your pre op diet? Let me know how it goes. I know everyone is different and will experience different things but I think it's good if we all share and encourage eachother in this life changing but healthier new life. Will you be having the procedure in a hospital or the clinic?

    Heya =]

I have not started a pre-op diet yet, but I am anxious about it.

And, I will be having in a hospital. It will be at Johns Creek Hospital. What about you?

  4. @@Dottygirl I feel you on the clothing stores for bigger girls. I happen to enjoy the clothes at Torrid, but I am so tired of spending so much money on cute clothes....I want to be able to shop at the discount/outlet stores for cute clothes. This year I went with my sister before school started and I had to go to Lane Bryant and Torrid while she went to Loft Outlet and Gap Outlet and I ended up spending almost double what she did for less clothes. =[

  5. You have the right to be happy but watch girl you may, have to exchange those Victoria Secrets for a smaller size That is on my bucket list to horseback..I ALWAYS thought I was too big to get on one Congrats.. My surgery was November 9th..

Hah, that would not be a bad thing, exchanging those for a smaller size! You should totally horseback ride. <3 It is one of the best thing ever; it feels like flying at times. =] And congrats on your surgery! Everything is going well for you?

I really want to do yoga again. I am just too heavy to do it without causing pain. Oh, and to wear a belt someday. Maybe a pair of riding boots that aren't wide-calf?

I did yoga in the past, and I had loved it. When is your surgery?Or, when was it? Yes, I would love riding books that weren't wide-calf...in fact, any boots at all that weren't wide calf!

Being able to cross my legs and two cancel of my Lane Bryant card and use my Victoria's Secret and New York and Company

I cannot wait to get rid of my Lane Bryant credit card...and, as much as I love Torrid, I want to get rid of that card as well!

  6. So, I have surgery scheduled on December 19 (SO FREAKING HAPPY!), and the few people who know me have asked what I'm most excited for.

Aside from my lovely bag of Victoria Secret panties that I have never worn but oh so want to wear, my biggest excitement is for getting on a horse again. I used to horseback ride and compete, and I have signed up to be co-equestrian club advisor at the school I teach at in the spring. But, I haven't been on a horse in years because I'm terrified of hurting my favorite animal in the world. In fact, my friend had found a groupon for trail rides and wine picnic thing recently and talked about it as a belated birthday event for me, and I was too embarrassed to even answer her FB message.

So yes, that is the thing I am honestly most excited for.

    What about you all?
