Hello everyone! Tomorrow is my big day- they moved my surgery forward one week. I am super excited and am definitely looking to find some support! I'm only at the beginning but realizing how important it is to have a strong support network. (Which I have, but their not banded)
Anyway, I'm Sarah, I'm 26, and from New York! Dr. Dominick Artuso and Dr. Jonathan Arad are doing my surgery.
Hello All! My name is Sarah, and I am so excited and nervous to be banded! I have done months of studying, discussing with doctors, etc, and finally had everything submitted to insurance.
I was told 2 days ago everything was approved. I called my insurance to verify- and they are saying it is still in progress. The surgeons office just called me stating that they need me to call them to verify my 5% loss required by my insurance, because apparently it is appearing as though it was forged by my surgeons office! (It was NOT, and my PCP even signed off on it) I think its because I had previously submitted the same form and had it filled out incorrectly.
Anyway, i'm going to Target tonight with a girlfriend to start getting things to prepare. Small cups, plate, etc. This insurance thing is really bothering me because I don't want them to deny it now! But, my surgeons office is saying that is the only thing they are waiting for- then i will officially have the approval note.
AHHH, this is a lot of stress. It wouldn't be so bad if I wasn't looking forward to it!
PS- please introduce yourself, I'm looking for band buddies. Also, where can I get a ticker?!
